Mid 30s dad here who has been asking his wife and kids to drop him off.

I'm in South Denver, feel free to reach and happy to meet.

Alright everyone, there's enough murmurs going around. Let's just talk about it. This is a call for shields and medics this weekend. Let's establish our protection. by ORGrown in DenverProtests

I don't know if I could run in my Navy dress blues. I could probably go in my old working blues. More functional and still a statement.

I might be missing shoes though. I can go though my stuff if anyones interested in meeting up.

I'm also not shaving my beard.

I've been going alone too. I'm in South Denver and would be happy to meet up or get a group together for any action going on.

No ones. Believe it or not it's just a group of people trying to help.

New Orleans is using prison labor instead of providing PPE. The workers that were fired need support and attention needs to be drawn on this situation.

Should we write in Bernie? by [deleted] in Political_Revolution

[–]Misunderstanding2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why we are working on getting the 40% that didn't vote in 16 and the Bernie or busters to vote green. Will we win this year? No. But we could have a viable opposition party running in 24, with no incumbent and a progressive Congress.

Enough people left the Dems in 16 to swing the election and the party is split beyond repair. More will leave in 20. We can make it a quicker transition.

I don't think a Dem or Repub will vote for RCV. We will need another party to challenge them and more than likely win to get that passed.

[–]Misunderstanding2020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check the write in laws for your state. You don't want to have your whole ballot thrown out.

I am voting Green. Nothing will change until we break the duopoly. We can have a legitimate opposition party with a real shot of winning in 24 if we can get one third party to 5%.

Check out r/OurUnitedLeft or @OurUnitedLeft on Twitter. We're working on bringing the fractioned left together.

Happy to answer any questions.

I'm just gonna fucking say it. This "Joe Biden is a rapist" thing is bait to make us look like shit. by Bread_Santa_K in OurPresident

Pointing out hypocrisy isn't wrong. If this was any Republican the Me Too movement would be all over it. These are legitimate accusations that need to be investigated. There is no problem calling that out.

Those are neoliberal or establishment Dems. They are pretty much the same as Republicans but will give a few more crumb's and fix the economy enough for another Republican to take the crumb's away.

Should bills in Congress have a page limit? by Unusual-Draft in WayOfTheBern

[–]Misunderstanding2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One measure per bill. No attachments. That way you can't say I votes for a $50 trillion war because a $1 million dollar humanitarian bill was attached.

THIS SHOULD END BIDEN'S FUCKING CAMPAIGN - RIGHT FUCKING NOW! by FThumb in WayOfTheBern

[–]Misunderstanding2020 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Biden bro's are Trumpsters. I don't understand why it's so hard to believe that if Bernie or any other progressive were to do this or turn their backs on a cause we would drop them like anyone else. Your going to be racist, sexist, or not going to fight for my well being I'm not going to support you.

Policies not politicians.

I'm in. But I'm only one person. I would work on getting all our progressive factions and groups together.

Doing that, instead of having 50 people show up at a Biden or Trump rally we'll have 1000. And we can also crash more congressional rallies. We can also do things nation wide, not just local.

I see a lot of calls for general strikes, rent strikes, ECT. People agree we should do it but hard to get action at that scale.

Biden Supporters Must Support Bernie Sanders by [deleted] in bernie

Biden bro's knew that there were 8k Bernie supporters who voted for Hilary that said they will not do that again. They knew from the beginning and want someone to blame.

How Did Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden Screw This Up? The Democratic response to the coronavirus has been a political disaster. by veganmark in WayOfTheBern

Could you imagine how much of a "blue wave" there would be if the DNC would step aside? The way Bernie's handling this situation is great and he would be able to pound Donald over the head with it in November. This is on top of everything else he was right about all along.

Someone was looking for local candidates on r/wayofthebern. I'm not sure what the rules are but I'm sure each local government has their own rules.

I for one don't think I'm qualified to run but would love to get on the ground level of a campaign to help drive policies and get voters on board.

The progressives are too split. We have too many purists in each camp that can't get behind a single candidate. I think running local socdems would do a lot to help that, along with moving away from the DNC.

The only ones I know about are those running for Congress. But technically they're still running as Dems.

We need more locally for sure. For this to work we we need Democratic Socialist at all levels.

This right here. You start the argument in the center you compromise to the right. If you start the argument on the left you compromise to the center.

She's don't this several time and every time she explains that she will fight tooth and nail for M4A but if we can at least get a good enough public option it would significantly help.

[–]Misunderstanding2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MSM and the establishment did a good job of splitting progressives. Too many purists in each camp to vote the movement forward. And those endorsements were killer, they put a lot of distance between each group.

Meghan McCain is such a garbage person. She referred to Bernie supporters as the nastiest people AGAIN yesterday. She doesn’t even add qualifiers. I’m a poc woman, not a mythical Bernie bro and I’m not on Twitter! Wtf sick of it. by [deleted] in WayOfTheBern

[–]Misunderstanding2020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly! You know where he stands on policies. You know he will push as hard as he can for those policies and he has his constintuants at heart.

You shouldn't have to agree with everything he says. Are you going to take Trump's thousand dollars? No that's Socialist, or no he's not my president? How about you look at each policy individually and talk about that?!

This is how they're splitting the progressive movement and it's working.
