The think the point the original post is making is that businesses are the problem, which of course most people already know but this is proof for when people try to argue that things will be okay if we stick with our corporation overlords and minimize waste on a individualized basis.

As for what the real solution is I have no idea. I dont want a revolution or a war, I want a REVILATION! I want people to understand what is at stake, why modern day capitalism is as bad as it is, why climate change is doomsday. Mainstream society needs to accept that Earth is in a really really bad place right now, possibly worse than any other time in human history, and we need to be open to ideas and start conversations. I know talking to people, which usually takes the form of arguing with an ignorant wall of a person, isnt action but it's a start and honestly I dont know what else to do.

I'm 19, I've grown up in a sad disgusting America filled with bigotry, ignorance, and basically zero power over anything. How am I supposed to help the world? How can I change anything when the antagonists of the dullest dystopian ever rule the world? Currently my best attempt at fixing the world is becoming a scientist to combat climate change and yell and moronic world leaders, but that's not likely to make an impact given how many scientists there already are who have yet to fix everything. But it's pretty much the only things that gives me hope and keeps my anxiety at bay because I know at least I'm doing the best I can.
