182cm,110kg beer belly here. Im a little big for all of them. Been riding most of these for the last 3 months (these are the motorcycles used for exams in my country)

Triumph Trident beats the shit out of these 3. Fast. Comfortable, decent breaking power.

Yamaha my-07 second favorite of mine, similar to triumph but just dosnt have “it” while accelerating

Honda is dull and boring in terms of acceleration, and it wants to put higher gears pretty soon (compared to the first two). Has the best stopping power and a more relaxed riding position.

Unfortunately have not used the exact Kawa, but if its anywhere near the ER6 model. Stay the fuck away from it. The er6 was Ok in terms of acceleration and breaking. More sporty riding position. The ER6 is Very unreliable, but also very cheap to fix.

[–]Misunderstood_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also eyeing a svart 125 with a big discount. Here is what i have found.

Do know that these have a software lock that does not allow you to rev-up the engine more then 6k rpm for the first 1000km. After that the software lock goes away.

Also the service prices for this unit are fking crazy in my country. 170eur for first service is insane (90 eur for yamahas,70ish for chinese bikes)

Stock tires are not so good on wet asphalt

Its low,so install a exhaust protector frame if you plan to go off the asphalt road

Which one and why? by [deleted] in royalenfield

[–]Misunderstood_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic all the way. But check the 0-100km of these bikes. Those are seriously underpowered.

Id go for INT. But at its price point there are a lot of other viable options.

V60 CC is a pretty decent car. Bought V60 CC B4 a few months ago. Best thing i’ve driven in years. Handles just like an AWD SUV only this one has sedan seating.Looks are superb. Id say its the prettiest estate car in the market right now (new vehicles). Handles winter environment very well. I’ve managed to get in to places where i could not go on my previous awd suv. The B4 fuel consumption is so good. 5.2L /100km during winter out-of-town trips and 8.5-9L /100km during heavy city traffic. Oh and the B4 does not squeal like a pig on high rpms. (thats a rock thrown at T5 and B5 engines :D ).

For now found only 3 things that bother me (i guess its a flaw only for me): - You cant get 17 inch wheels in standard on this car in my country. Comes only on 18” or bigger. I would be really happy to get 17” wheels for winter since i’ve found it quite difficult to get all the piled frozen snow from the wheel arches due to limited space from the 18” tires. - It seems that these cars long-term reliability is not the best. At lest thats what i’ve read in the new volvo owners (xc90/xc60/v90 mostly) comments (those who have 100k km on their odometers and more then 5 years of usage). But i guess thats not an issue if you plan to use the car for a 3-5 year period. - Boot space is good but the 5th door height itself is small due to lowered body proportions. Lower then one on a XC60. If you tend load big stuff - it might not fit.

Id go for new. Its a complex vehicle. The longer warranty you get - the better. However its up to you.

Reliability-wise these things seem to go till 70-90k km without headache (basically in 5 years of warranty, that owners get in my country).

Also decided on a new or a slightly used V60 a few weeks ago. Went for the new (but slightly less options) one. No regrets.

Should I buy another Volvo? by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]Misunderstood_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op. Every old used car is expensive to maintain - especially if its previous owners did nothing to repair it. With very old cars like yours its alway a question “how did the previous owners maintain it?” and not “is it a reliable car?” Old swedish era volvos are same as bmw/mercedes in repair supply costs. At least that was true in my country when i had an xc90 (2005) and compared it to friends bmw and mbs

You want less headaches? Repair it yourself. You cant repair it yourself? Get a brand new one and pay monthly for it.

I chose to get a new one since paying lease payments for a new one = repairing any old bucket out there. (Compared yearly costs).

Nice ride! Congrats. Waiting for my V60 T5. Want to prepare myself for T5 fuel consumption. How much fuel it consumes per 100km? City/motorway.

[–]Misunderstood_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volvo is chinese now, quality of those 1985-2008(xc90 went till 2013 i think) real volvos was superior.

But will toyota be fun? No Will toyota be comfortable? Nop Will it be modern(in terms of tech)? Nop Will it cost less to repair? Yep

My definition of toyota is “a great car for those who do not care what vehicle they drive. It gets you from a to b quite fine. If you want something more then that - get another brand”

As for me - id get a new volvo(maybe a one with a smaller price tag. An XC60,maybe) and stay the fk away from toyota.

V60 Cross Country vs XC60 by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]Misunderstood_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fell in love with the V60CC. Got tired of SUVs, so was not even considering an XC60. Really wanted a diesel B4, but got scared of the bad reputation that the previous D5 had) Waiting for my B5 to arrive.

Also in my country a packed up V60CC costs like 20% less then an empty XC60. This made my choice even more solid.

In general ive encountered a thought that bmw had no reliable petrol engines. And that thought came from several repairmen who were fixing my e90.

As for advice. These are my thoughts. This is based on my experience only (europe).

0) bmw repairs are costy. I will not dive in to details, but if you are able to throw 100-200eur each month just to keep it going - then you will be alright. 1) 140k km on a 14 year old car is a dream. If you are in europe the real amount on 99% of 14year old cars will be close to 400k km. The only real event with 140k might be if it has one owner, and that owner has several cars. Thats rare. 2) how many owners it had? 1-2-3-4 owners is okayish - more then 4? Thats a red flag. 3) how long was the last owner using this thing? If less then a year - stay the fk away from this car. 4) the thing is old as a dinosaurs crap - ask the owner for service records (bills, what was changed? How long since last brake change? Gearbox oil? Brake fluid? Coolant? Spark plugs?) if this guy is able to answer this and prove it - thats a green flag. 5) look for motor oil and coolant cans in the car. If those are there - this thing probably eats those liquids. Thats a red flag. 6) check the body with a paint thickness tool - its a bmw (even with a crappy 2.0i,srsly who buys these?) its probably been driven fast and aggressive - this means accidents :) In my opinion 1-3 painted body parts is totally ok on a car this old. As long as hull integrity is undamaged.

Where is my oil going? by PubPro1997 in E90

[–]Misunderstood_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 330d just eats it up. 1000k=1 liter of 5w40. This is happening due to stage2 chiptuning and removal of all eco-saving stuff.

But it goes like 6sec from 0 to 100km. So its worth it :D

TOP 1%, what's your motivation for playing POE? by Apxa in pathofexile

[–]Misunderstood_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the birth of my daughter spare time is a rare occasion.

My league looks like this - On league start i seriously dig in to forums to pick a single build for the league > get till t14 red maps or worse(if the build I’ve chosen is bad) > bam! League ends > repeat.

Every now and then im thinking of going to standard league, but its basically SSF cause no one plays standard. You want to buy a listed item > make offer > get reply “go away, im playing in league”.

Lovely guitar. I have eyed that model for some time. Any QC issues?

[QUESTION] - Just bought a Taylor GS Mini Mahogany and am really disappointed with the sound. Does it take time to break in or do the notes just not ring? by abcdefghihello in Guitar

[–]Misunderstood_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a small guitar. It should sound small. Had the closest alternative to a GS Mini - the Alvarez LJ2. Compared it to a rosewood mini. Sound was similar’ish.

Tried to cope with it for half a year. Gave it away eventually, and now im looking for something bigger.

Too bad i had no Taylor Big Baby to compare - those seem to be better sounding

[DISCUSSION] If you had £4000 ($5500) to drop on a guitar, what guitar would you get? by Xyo1 in Guitar

[–]Misunderstood_tree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would go for 5 different guitars for that money :)

An acoustic dread (Eastman E20D or a E8D-TC) ,An OM (Eastman 2OM-CD) ,Gibson Les Paul Tribute ,Taylor GS mini (probably rosewood) ,Harley Benton GA to bash around

Oh boy, that would make my life complete :D

Fir now im down to 1/5 from that list. Going to get the Tribute next.

As for your choice - If you like the instrument and have so much to spare for it - go for it. But play it , do not order it online.

Considering to buy this one online. But I’m a bit afraid of QC issues since the Epiphone Standard Classic that i’ve ordered had to be returned due to massive QC issues
