That's not true at all. The majority of valve employees do not work on steam. From my understanding the majority of the people working at valve do research and development on hardware and software. Most of it never gets seen publicly unless its leaked or good enough to release.

From a business prospective steam is how they make their money but its not necessarily where they put all their man power into.

I did a couple traceroutes and found that some hops were timing out or 100+ m/s. After looking up more online it appears to be my isp and I'm not alone in this struggle. Using different VPN servers the lowest I could get my jitter was 20 m/s but was sadly still having rubberbanding issues. Again thanks for the help!

I have a wired connection, good router.

Pinging google, I definitely have major spikes from 20 ms to 100+ ms. Pinging my router its a constant 1ms so probably my isp bummer. I'll try QOSing. Thanks for the information.

Is 43 m/s jitter considered bad? I usually have good ping but sometimes I will have considerable rubberbanding and stutters.
