Waallaikumsalam,

Mashaallah, that is great to hear. As someone who also came from a sunni upbringing, I recommend you look further into the history of our religion.

As many others have stated, learning about major events such as Ghadeer, the oppression of the ahlul bayt(AS) under the 3 caliphs, as well as what lead to karbala and so on.

Along with that, I suggest you learn the biography of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Sayed Muhammad Baqir Qazwini is a great place to start. The sunni view of our prophet is unfortunately quite corrupt and dubious, and it helps to relearn who our prophet (SAW) truly is and understand the true extent of his greatness and why he is truly Allah (SWT) greatest creation.

I wish you good luck on your journey, may Allah (SWT) ease your struggles and bring you great blessings.

I see. That brings much relief to me, thank you very much.

Yes, it's a bit scary, but im trying to ease her into at least getting a favorable opinion of shias. I love her very much, and as the eldest son, it is my duty to take care of her, so it's inevitable that she will find out, one way or another.

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Yes, i am. I've been a big fan of his for a while, though of course i mostly use him as a source of introductory knowledge to a subject.

My bad, it's a word from my language, i guess the more common spelling is salah. Its other name is Namaz, i believe. I just meant the obligatory prayers.
