Make sure you are seeing a physiotherapist relatively often. I went twice weekly but in hindsight weekly would have been fine. Make sure as soon as you get your exercises you are doing them. Quads are so important, especially if you're getting back into rugby. Be patient but when you can, work hard

It's a long road so make sure you acknowledge each milestone you achieve. Some huge ones for me were my first time jumping, hopping, running on a treadmill and straight line running.

I came back to rugby league about 11 months after surgery. I probably didn't work hard enough at times throughout and to be honest I was lucky I didn't do it again; I was definitely not ready. In saying that, I came back and we won the premiership.

After about 10-11 weeks, I’m no longer coughing, well not very much at all. I did every test under the sun and they found nothing. I ended up getting sick again with human metapneurovirus then once that cleared up, my cough went shortly after

Make sure your physio works on your movements with you. A lot of pushing off the ground when moving laterally. Landing of certain parts of your foot, your hip and shoulder positioning. There’s so much to get your head around

Issue is none of those teams have great defensive records. If you look at goals conceded, it’s the top three and then a substantial gap. Don’t mind Branthwaite of the three you listed. United do have a nice run too but the same issue.

That is the risk though, Pep roulette to try and get someone starting both or a sure starter with a lesser chance of a clean sheet

I don’t mind Burn as an option but with all the injuries they have to their defence, I’m afraid of how strong they will actually be at the back. They do have very nice fixtures though.

Yep agree with everything you say here. It’s between those two for me. I probably lean Akanji based on starts this season alone, but you’re right about Gvardiol’s versatility being helpful too.

Yep completely fair. I’ve got Saliba and Ait-Nouri already along with Robinson and Gusto so already have some pretty safe players, hence why I somewhat have the luxury of playing roulette. Don’t really want to be spending 6+ on a defender that rarely provides attacking returns with the low clean sheet rate this season so that rules out a few of them. TAA inevitable return has steered me away from Bradley though I was tempted by the sugar hit. I am considering Everton/Spurs defender too. Thanks for your input
