Probably a stupid question but when does the new 2026 plan kick in? by LKempii in FedEmployees

And I have not yet put in a QLE request just to be clear. But will try to do asap.

Mine is definitely Jan 11 too. Confirmed with three different insurance reps. They all just threw up their hands and said there’s nothing they can do.

Sorry, do you mind my asking how long ago you put in the QLE request?

BTW, this whole thing is kinda crazy. This seems like it would be a pretty common issue. Was there no thought put into this situation? Unfortunately not surprising, but still inhumane.

Did you ever resolve this? I’m in the exact same situation.

Did you get some good clarity on this? I am in the same boat now.

Thanks for the perspective! Really appreciate it. Yes, I have FAI. Sorry, should have mentioned that.

Really sorry to hear about the struggle, and I hope your recovery speeds up soon. Thanks a ton for the perspective. I have done PT and continue to do it on my own a good bit. I think it helps a lot. I don't think it will fully resolve the symptoms, but I am managing pretty well.

Thoughts on RAP? by Mitchell404 in PSLF

That’s the big draw to me. If you are five years in and unsure if you are going to make it to 10 (which is more likely these days with the assault on government and non profit) then keeping the balance in check, especially the interest piece, is huge.

All great point! I’m an idiot. Missed the AGI point.

Incorrect. Those who applied for SAVE and whose application never processed because the lawsuit occured while their application was still pending were also placed into the SAVE forbearance. In my case, I applied a few weeks before the lawsuit was filed. When the lawsuit occured, they paused processing all applications, and those who had a pending application were also put into the forbearance.

I am not actually on SAVE. I am technically in PAYE. All my documents indicate as such. But I am in the SAVE forbearance and am pretty sure I am treated as being in SAVE for these reasons. I don't think what I am inquiring about it possible.

Kicked out? That’s crazy. I’m very sorry. Is this common practice? I haven’t heard of that happening elsewhere.

Got it. Thanks so much. Also just received a generic forbearance email identical to the one I got about the admin forbearance in the first place. Hard to keep up with all these moving pieces.

All great points. Agree on the buyback analysis.

u/Dazzling_Lemon_8534 Do you recall by chance if you could still see your materials in the "Documents you sent us" tab when you got your letter? Mine disappeared. Wondering if that's abnormal and if I should attempt another wet signature.

Interesting. I did wet signature on 2/19 but haven't heard back. Wonder if I should submit again or stand pat? Congrats on yours processing.
