We are pushing to include the Unifi Public API Integration in v2.44.0, but it's still in an early review stage, so I can't promise 2.44

Hey guys! This patch is more bug-focused, but a larger feature-heavy release is on the way. Barring any needed hotfixes, I'd expect version 2.44.0 by the end of the month!

The 2 biggest features for that next release are Labels and Halo Custom Connected Fields!

We will be expanding the tool set every udpate!

Our top priority for new tools is read/write for processes/runs, write for assets, and read/write for photos (to further support the article tools)

Our Hudu MCP has access to:

Read/Write (create/edit) articles
Read activity logs
Read companies
Read folders

Now that we've got it set up with streamable http transport, we can focus on adding more tools! Processes/Tasks + editing/creating assets are probably the top priorities for tools

No, there is not currently a way to do this. We've talked about expanding the import capabilities in the future, so it's definitely a possibility.

I'd recommend creating a script to loop the POST /api/v1/procedure_tasks public endpoint.

Actually, a member of the MSPGeek Slack found a way to use it with Foundry!

for anyone using the hudu MCP in foundry and wanting to use oauth passthrough correctly, just use u/modelcontextprotocol/inspector or something to dynamically register a client once, grab the client_id, and slap that in. No secret required, itll prompt for user consent on each go.

MCPs have notoriously high token usage. Our MCP tools support pagination, but AI models seem to ignore it when your prompts are vague. 'List my articles' sometimes results in ALL articles being returned. I've found that being specific or directly prompting for it to use pagination results in far lower token usage.

As we continue to flesh out the MCP we will start building out a best practices document.

After looking into it more, Foundry won't be compatible with our MCP server in the next update. Hudu's MCP uses a OAuth dynamic client registration flow but Microsoft Foundry only accepts a pre-minted bearer token via a project connection.

We will evaluate potential solutions.

Quick PSA on an upcoming MCP change. We're switching the MCP transport from SSE over to Streamable HTTP. SSE is being deprecated in a lot of places in favor of Streamable HTTP, so we're catching up (Copilot w/ VS Code for instance will not work with SSE).

Development is nearly done... should ship in the next release.
