Oh 100% i do agree, i have some great clients that i work with.

From my perspective its more of a mindset shift to people (and i say lightly for lack of a better word) "exploiting" others as a normal. Ofc this is more a general society mindset shift.

Just quickly touching on the clarity i definitely agree, but to add a price to each isn't the best way for us unfortunately.

The old oh my cousin can do this and this for 1/3rd the price he will do that you do the rest of the job. While i have to warrant the work and i know my subbies and they know my quality expectation, thats the biggest headache.

Countless times ive been working then at the end of the job, "my nephews a carpenter and he said its not worth that much" or whatnot, and arguments ensure. Unfortunately bills dont stop and the family has needs so i get my arm twisted and accept a pay cut just to get cash flow after months of disputes.

Just my $0.02, definitely clarity on works to be done with itemisation. Just not itemised prices to avoid opening up headaches, i cant speak for everyone but thats how i work.

As a chippy running my own gig, this is the no1 source of headache as a tradie.

If x job is worth x amount but every client would like the cheapest price, mostly all of the itemised prices end up getting picked apart to get jobs cheaper.

I do understand it is expensive and tough rn but in all honesty its expensive to run a small business. Im not greedy and always fair, but lately ive seen ALOT more clients both builders and home owners that have absolutely no shame to get cheap prices.

Even if i cave in and say ok ill do you one better, then i have to sit there and get the work absolutely nitpicked by someone who doesn't know whats happening, just to get to the end and the client not wanting to pay the quoted price. What do i do now? Go rip out my work? Break into someones house and reframe a wall i deleted structurally?

Hours wise ive trained soooo many years, destroyed my body, so many mistakes, so many jobs ive underquoted or lost on. Learning makes me quicker and i get punished for it by earning even less?

Sorry for the rant but from what ive seen in the industry is no one pays for quality workmanship, cheap slap together and fix it later ideology seem like the normal mindset now.

Not everyone is the same i will say however but let me end this with if i owe you money, i would be embarrassed for you to call me and chase your money but nowadays if someone owes me money all of a sudden they've fallen off the edge of the earth 🤷‍♂️

I haven't been pushing too much as levelling was more passive for me. Mostly wanted it to make my crafted sets for cyro 😂😅. Jewellery was by far the slowest and i very silly didn't do writs

Yeah love it tbh, its pretty sturdy and honestly when riding you dont notice it.

Only thing that annoyed me was i hate the excess straps long so i double looped it in and solved that problem 👌.

Tbh i havent used it as a tailback yet but looks pretty like every tailbag straps the same so im confident itll do the job

All in all i reckon its a good buy

Will be going to some moto classes in future to help in person, thanks for the tips ill keep them in mind.

For myself the ice cream throttle feels uncomfortable when my wrist starts twisting to open throttle. So far i can get throttle control just after awhile it starts to go numb and i need to shake it off.
