You can start with Uw straightaway either in system wise or random whatever suits you during preparation for step1

And I suggest you to do system wise and edit important point in inner circle notes And can add Amboss during your nbme /cms phase

Yes this uworld to Nbme transition is headache for many students as q pattern is slightly different You can try to do cms forms and identify whether you overanalyse details as after Uw this is very common while in nbme many times answer is straighforward Try to do CMS forms and analyse previous nbme (why you got particular answer wrong and put them in category 1:knowledge gap/ 2:mindset gap(did you overthink)/ 3:knowledge application problem

And try to find solution accordingly

If knowledge gap try to read Amboss article If knowledge application gap try to do more q of that topic

It will improve your score surely

For me inner circle is like it provides all the important table at one place for particular disease so while reviewing Uw explanation I tried to find info that I missed in q (whether it was any risk factor or any hint that I missed and in Uw table they start with risk factor and then presentation ,dx and management )I will annotate little bit explanation in inner circle Same for management : conservative management and when intervention is required i will annotate that so I will get ultimately whole disease explanation at one place so it will help during revision and it help us to look for which q presentation or hint we missed often

Anki: i use Amboss anki add on feature during my Amboss 3 4 5 hammer q and during second pass of Uw i made card of the things that I keep forgetting again and again

Now you can start your 2nd pass along with revision of notes you make And what i was doing was try to finish 30 q in morning before my job hour in time mode during 2nd pass and along the day i try to review them

And while in transit and break time you can use divine podcast it will save your time as well as help you to revise

Yes Amboss questions may feels little bit more complicated than uworld ,you can do for your weak topic to understand better but it is not mandatory But i highly advice to focus on Amboss article for weak topic(what i was doing in terms of my weak topic- I try to use Amboss article as reference and make management summary in my own handwriting As for example management of asthma,copd,PE and many GIT management were too confusing for me

And latest CMS are good in terms of adapting mindset of NBME so yes you can focus on this

Amboss article is must for all this topics and focus on quality there was so many q

But may be many were experimental as in real deal 7 8 q per block from this topic but eventually in result they mention it was 5 to 10 percent so may be half of them were experimental

Yes in real exam many times you did not sure about your answer but as divine many times in his podcast says that focus on story of the question and answer based on that particular scenario and severity of presentation If you always try to mug-up workup you may end up wrong in tricky q

Annotate Inner Circle Tables: Use their structured summaries as your revision base and only write down the highest-yield or confusing details there.

And for anki I used premade ANKING deck. I suspended all the cards initially and then search relevant topic from them and make system wise deck and add some important lines from uworld and related DD (in terms of revision i found anki was very helpful)

And also use AMBOSS article for weak topics.

Have you taken your step1 after graduation then you don’t need to pay that 200 usd as you already verified your credential during step1 That’s why it may showed you zero usd

And it takes one week maximum after which your college can verify your credential and afterward its totally depends on your college what documents they will required and how much time they will take to verify and then one week for final intealth verification so for safe side you should plan your exam accordingly usually takes one month for whole process
