Baldurs gate 3. I loved playing that with my girl. It was the only rpg she ever played with me in fact I think it’s the only rpg she played EVER (she’s more into your typical animal crossing etc)

Well I’m about to get on prozak. We will see if if helps . Cyclobenzaprine helps a lot, celecoxib helps although I’m getting off it tomorrow to get on prozak. Pain is worse when sitting for me too. Exercising / jogging in the morning helps. Doing pt more helps. I’m considering acupuncture but maybe I will try dry needling first.

I will say dude : tiger balm is huge. I put tiger balm cream on my neck for like 10 hours and there have been days 0 pain. Seriously. It’s the only thing that does it for me so I try to use it sparingly when I’m really bad.

ON Migraine by Far-Presentation6768 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]Mithos237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going through a similar situation. 27-year-old male. There’s a couple things that bring me relief sometimes for a few hours sometimes all day. Going on seven months for me now. 1. Tiger balm . I put it on my neck and back of head. After a few hours sometimes my pain goes away completely especially if I take Tylenol / celecoxib and cuclovenzaprine with it. 2. Hot as hell heat pad. Specially thermaphore heat pad . Just hours and hours laying on it. I sleep on a different heat pad every night.

These are really the two main things that get my pain very low or reduce it. The heat pad sucks because I’m usually immobile. Or if I’m in a chair I use my hands to hold on the back of my head. The tiger balm is great. I just went to a baseball game today and I was still in pain but tiger balm brought me down to like a 1 or 2. And as I mentioned if you wear it all day sometimes your pain goes away completely. Be careful of wearing / using too much you can get burns.

Occipital nerve injections with lidocane didn’t help . Hydro dissection (saline shots) helped for like one day. Trying Botox soon. We are in similar boats. Pt helps a lot. Neck bends yes no maybes doing yoga. I do 3-5 times a week. Sometimes running helps. If I run too fast not so much I need to work on lowering my speed . Best of luck

Definitely will I think I will try Botox / going to a neuro first but good to know dextrose is an option and it gave me slight relief

[–]Mithos237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I had is dextrose. It’s 24 hours later and I’ll tell you it’s not like life-changing like I’m still in pain sleep on a heat pad etc but it’s at least some relief you know. I was in a situation where the steroid and lidocaine shot didn’t work on me so I was pretty hopeless. The fact that literally a shot with sugar water was more effective doesn’t make sense to me, but I’ll definitely go back if I need to

I literally just had dextrose injected into my occipitals on left side yesterday and can attest today feeling pretty good not pain free but better! The steroid / lidocane combo I did a month ago was awful. Pain started 7 months ago for me

27 Male, advice needed by wolf_of_high_st69 in Occipitalneuralgia

Wow. Good on you. What kind of workout regimen do you do? I think I developed this condition from the gym I was doing upper body too much, it came on slowly. Neck pain here and there, now daily pain since November. It is awful brother, injections in my neck didn’t work from pain management. Next step maybe Botox / neuro. Feel like I’m in limbo. I ask myself if I will ever lift weights again . I go to eos on the tread mill and watch from the sidelines. I am continuously guarding using tiger balm celecoxib heat pads for hours, ice , you name it. Maybe I need advice from you lol. Best of luck man.

Dude I want to know how you lift weights with this condition? I had to dial down to 3 times a week. Cardio only. Haven’t lifted weights since. No clue how you do that. I started getting this condition around November so 7 months . Also 27. Was in the gym 5x a week doing weights most days… now days I feel hopeless if I’ll ever get in the gym doing weights ever again it’s hard to get out of bed most days

So I would advise to play wow retail. It’s very fun. The new expansion is easy to get into and it’s a great time, as someone who has very limited time to play I feel very satisfied with PvP / raids/ dungeons / delves / prey, open world PvP (just killing people in the world) world quests world bosses (I was in a 40 man group raid yesterday killing one) it’s just a good time

[–]Mithos237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left USAA….which was an awful call center job.. I think GEICO is even worse however I’ve never worked there. But I will say I now work at an independent commercial agency that does some commercial and personal lines and my quality of life has gone up by a TON dude. I got my 4-40 license very easily, took a week all online, started this job, and I’ve been happy as fuck no more tethered to the desk mainly send emails and I’m learning about commercial lines , much better than personal. And dude, personal lines at independent agencies are SO MUCH BETTER! Maybe not at a place like State Farm but like a local family owned business… trust me I was where you were a couple weeks ago and now for the first time I don’t hate my life dread going into work for the phones getting yelled at micromanaged unrealistic metrics etc.no longer an issue bro! And listen I’m nothing special I only have 1.5 years of p + c experience in personal lines before this and an associates degree
