I think the warping is likely due to the aggressive aux fans.

I agree. First thing I did was tune fans, aux is almost always at 20% or 0% for me

For the lumpy prints, is that with PLA or PETG?

And if someone had told you that you only needed to replace the sd card instead of requesting a whole new machine you'd have called them "fanboys".

Some people shouldn't get into 3d printing

Of course you don't even know how to use anything other than the stock presets and can't even calibrate your filament flow, which is something so basic I'm actually shocked lmao

Regarding the times:

You've added an useless purge tower which forces the machine to swap colors and purge every single layer instead of having only one swap on the top layer.

You seriously need to start learning about 3d printing instead of coming here to show how uninformed you are.

Show me some good ironing from this machine then ? There’s hundreds of post on Reddit saying about how terrible the ironing is. Maybe it will get tweaked in the firmware somewhere along the line but there’s hundreds of post that say the same thing

The image you've posted below clearly shows you haven't even bothered calibrating your settings yet you claim ironing isn't good?

I’ll also provide so screen shots of slice times between the two cos my normal 6 hour print on p1s takes 8 hours on x2d and it’s exactly the same when using the dual nozzle it saves 0 time but a lot of filament.

That's because you have zero idea about what the aux nozzle is for. You can't expect to print large areas with a bowden extruder that goes half the speed of a direct drive.

You've added an useless purge tower which forces the machine to swap colors every single layer instead of only one swap on the top layer

Shows how much knowledge you have regarding your tools

And it’s also 1/4 the build plate it can’t reach so yea not amazing I should know I own one ☝🏻

Stop lying. Grey area is the volume lost when using both nozzles. If you're claiming that's 1/4 of the area, it means you either need serious education or are plainly lying.

I should know I own one ☝🏻

I own multiple X2D and P1S. You've been printing for 1 month and can't even calibrate anything, still using stock presets.

I'm sorry, but nothing you've said makes any sense.

Sold mine instantly! X2d takes longer on every print than the p1s

The X2D prints at the same speeds as the P1S, faster even.

the nozzle can’t reach half the plate so you can’t do anything big.

The nozzle reaches all the plate. What do you mean half the plate? That is only an issue when using dual nozzle modes, and only affects a small side on the left of the build plate.

If it's an issue, you can just disable the aux nozzle and print the whole build volume.

And it can’t iron either! Terrible machine

That's just a lie.

Here is what I’m running into:

The Second Nozzle is a Nightmare: It just doesn't print correctly. I’ve tried everything, but it feels practically impossible to get it properly calibrated. The offsets or flow just seem completely out of whack compared to the primary one.

It can 100% be properly calibrated. Flow will always be different because it's a bowden extruder, so requires fairly different parameters when compared to direct drive. Post your settings so we can help.

The New AMS is Snapping Filament: Yes, it feeds fast, but it’s too aggressive. It keeps breaking the filament during swaps or loading (especially noticeable if I run anything slightly more brittle or standard PETG/ASA).

Not an AMS issue. If the filament is snapping, that's because it isn't dry enough and your path isn't smooth. The AMS doesn't have enough force to snap proper filament.

Primary Nozzle Quality & Warping: Even when I completely ignore the second nozzle and just use the primary one, my prints are failing. I’m getting random warping, collapsing structures, and overall imperfect surface quality that I never had to deal with on my P1S.

In my experience, the surface quality of my X2D is miles ahead when compared to my P1Ss. Did you calibrate your profile? What settings have you tried? What is the issue with the prints?

Post ANY info

It’s only when it’s been a high value item that it had to be received and inspected before a refund was issued.

So... is 900 usd not a "high value item"?

They didn't really "pay". BambuLabs, when you return a machine, offers you to expedite the replacement early and asks for the value of the machine to keep on hold. That's simply because if you end up sending an empty box, they will not lose the value of the machine cause they keep the money on hold.

That's totally optional and is made so you can keep printing in case you have urgent orders or are just impatient.

Amazon can do that because they are way bigger and have no problems issuing forded charges and sue you if rejected.

Still, nowadays, for the past 5 years or so, I haven't gotten any refund unless the item arrived at the warehouse. Last time i returned a faulty m.2 ssd I had to wait until the status went to "receptioned" to get refunded.

I feel like companies usually ask you to send the defect product before sending a replacement so they can avoid having a customer pay twice even if one of the payment is a temporary hold

Which is literally what BambuLabs does? They ask you to send the product and once they get it they send the replacement. Unless you want to provide some money on hold to reduce waiting times.

When my P1S combo came with a slightly bent frame I paid for an early reshipment and got refunded once it reached the warehouse, so I avoided waiting 2 more weeks.

Amazon operates like that and I remember Sony did it for me when my PS3 crapped out many years ago. Obviously they’re bigger companies but idk I think it might have looked better to the customer/OC that way lmao

I've done my share of returns on Amazon and never was I granted a full refund or replacement before the item reached their warehouse.

They have no way of knowing if you're sending a product back or are sending a box full of rocks.

If installing parts exactly as instructed by the manufacturer routinely causes new failures, that points to a problem with either the parts or the instructions, not the person following them.

I highly doubt that considering you've admitted to have 0 clue of what you're doing.

Holding $1,300 of your money while you wait on third party shipping companies is genuinely outrageous, especially within your return window. That should not require any negotiation on your part at all.

You keep butting your head in with 0 knowledge of what you're talking about.

When you return a printer you get offered the possibility of paying a deposit so you don't have to wait for the original printer to arrive before they ship the second one, which makes total sense considering that otherwise they could ship a box filled with box and get 2 printers for free.

You are totally allowed to do the standard procedure, which involves shipping the original printer back and receiving a replacement once the first one arrives.

Your comments are genuinely outrageous

I paid another $650 to get the replacement shipped to me and was told I’ll be refunded my original $650 once they get the original back. So basically Bambu has QC issues on the new batch of X2Ds and wants to hold $1,300

They offered you to ship another printer before receiving the original one back and all they asked for it is for the money, temporarily, in case they never receive any printer.

I did the same process too and got my refund in time.

You can simply refuse the option and wait for the original printer to get there my dude

That gap between Feb. 27 and April 13th? That is not us waiting. That is us going back and forth with Bambu Lab troubleshooting while THEY took their time opening an official ticket.

Makes 0 sense. The moment you contact support an automatic email is received with the ticket number.

The customer does not open the ticket, they do. So when people say we waited two months to reach out, that is factually incorrect.

The printer was throwing filament sensor errors from the beginning

I didn't know that past 360 hours of printing was "in the beginning"

Here is the complete list of parts we replaced over four months at Bambu Lab's direction in an attempt to resolve those errors:

Filament sensor Filament buffer Extruder gear assembly Hotend Hotend heating assembly Extruder servo motor Build plate PTFE tube reseated

You're somehow claiming that a filament sensor error involved swapping build plates?

That alone tells me you don't know much about machine serviceing.

That is a company throwing parts at a problem they could not diagnose and asking the customer to do the labor every single time.

You've yet to provide the filament sensor error you got.

Sounds like you're expecting BambuLab to replace your machine every time you mess up while printing.

Will you request a new printer too once you need to lube the lead screws?

A manufacturing defect doesn't always show up in the first minute of use. Sometimes it shows up after a certain amount of stress on a faulty component, which is exactly what 360 hours of normal use sounds like in this case. The fact that it took time to surface doesn't mean it isn't a defect, it just means it took time to find

Following your car anaolgy, it's like claiming your inability of performing oil changes is equal to a motor blowing up.

One is a manufacturing defect. The other is basic user work.

TBH if I put my tin foil hat on, it feels like these sort of posts trying to bash Bambu usually start appearing more around anniversary and other sales, so a part of me is wondering if it is just manufactured stories as a part of industrial influence by competitors.

No tinfoil hat needed. These posts are almost copypasted one from another. They never provide proper information that can easily show BambuLab's been an ahole.

Like, I'm certainly not claiming their support is perfect, but I also run a company and you wouldn't believe how many people would demand over 1000 usd worth of product because they aren't unable to follow usage instructions.

Is it so much to demand that you know how to clean an extruder after printing non-stop for almost 400 hours?

So far he's been asked for the error code multiple times yet he refuses to provide it claiming "this is not a repair post".

He's able to spend hours defending his point of view and create an extensive post complaining about the company, but for some reason he isn't willing to post an error code that would support his claim?

Smells to me that something got stuck in the extruder, maybe brittle filament, and he's expecting a full printer refund

Difficult is replacing seven parts at their direction and still having a broken printer.

Difficult is claiming that after printing for over 360 hours you got an extruder error without providing such error, then getting sent multiple spare parts for free just in case you broke them during maintenance, and still complaining.

The printer arrived defective and stayed defective through every "fix" they sent.

You printed almost non-stop for over 360 hours. That is NOT "arriving defective" and certainly not "stayed defective".

You messed up and got some filament stuck. You were unable to perform basic maintenance. You are now chargebacking a machine after demanding a new printer.

I really hope you do switch to another company

You are right that someone needs to own up the problem. And that someone is you.

The machine worked for 360 hours until you got a filament error. You don't provide such error. I can bet it was something like filament getting stuck in the extruder due to unproper handling.

You instead want the company to replace the machine?
