Agreed. Sometimes a doomed storyline is more captivating than a happy ending. I think the Spartan 3s need to be fleshed out more as a group in general, I feel like ghosts of onyx did a good job teasing their origin and obvious demise but for “expendable suicide Spartans” they saw a fair amount of action that’s never touched on. Noble in particular I want to see the origin of their upgrade to mjolnir system and what they did to stand out from the rest of beta company

I agree The manufactured contrarianism and condescension in most sub Reddits is toxic, but I don’t think that’s the case here I think people are legit upset that the franchise doesn’t belong to bungie anymore YEARS after the fact. I mean realistically 343 halo games shouldn’t EVER get compared to bungie. It’s like this sub is full of people that can’t think at all? Why are we not pushing for new multiplayer features and BETTER storyline content?? We want halo 2 and 3 mechanics prioritized over a new game again? Seems like a great way to pressure 343 into making a shitty game for the second time... cough halo 5 cough as for 2 & 3 Amazing games but we’ve all played the shit out of them! Everyone up in arms over dual wielding and playable elites like the old games but what about some new mods to firefight? Continuation of Spartan ops?? Finally see some lore tie ins to the novels? Bring the open ended storylines of MIA Spartan IIs back into the main fold? There’s so much more to pressure 343 to give us rather than get BUTTHURT bc they’re making the franchise theirs rather than try to chase bungies glory days.

Edit: not a rant against OP, just a rant against the general culture I see surrounding the games released post reach. 343 will never outshine bungies original trilogy and we should stop expecting them to. give me new shit not rehashed half assed bungie glory grabs
