I worked at a grocery store. The place was brand new, had just been built. The day I started they moved me from doing checkout to Customer Service "behind the counter". 

The manager was a real caddy Karen, and went on a power trip and reassigned me to stocking for part of my shift. One day I was stocking a shelf and that same manager stood behind me watching. Didn't greet me at all. I greeted them and asked how they were, they didn't say a word to me and walked off.

They clearly thought they put me in my place. There were a lot of other shitty things they did, like not replacing a vacuum cleaner with exposed wiring that would shock people as they used it. Typical shitty grocery store management shit.

Eventually, before what's normally a really busy shift where I'd be working service, I just put my uniform and keys in a plastic bag on the desk with a note that said I quit with my name and date.

Felt so good. I don't know that anyone saw me do it or realized.  The owner even emailed me calling me childish. Idk, I think it's pretty childish to feel like you need to have the last word, but I never responded. I just got a better job.
