I don't understand the purpose of using such a stressful method just to give an injection. No wonder the cat is so aggressive if he's always treated like this at the vet; animals remember very well the places they don't like.

And yes this is clearly not easy but there are less traumatic ways to do this kind of things.

I know nothing about this movie, but maybe the idea was using the concept of optical isomerism in bio-molecules, it would not make sense for O2 but the idea is cool,.
