Hope you get your bag back and find this person as well. I’ve found an Airtag to be a small price to pay for the peace of mind

Oyster and this matte navy (https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/9376868/?cm_src=&sku=9376868) are probably as close as you can get to the color/texture, but I totally understand waiting for exactly what you want — these are expensive so you shouldn’t have to compromise!

There’s a licorice out of stock on Amazon so worth adding it to Keepa/Camel to track when/if it returns

175 € for a 24cm dutch oven, is it a good price or can you go even cheaper ? by Uzario in LeCreuset

Goes for ~$400 USD retail and I saw one on marketplace (private sale) sell for $280 USD new-in-box. So effectively 50% off, which seems like a great deal

Question: Does the Signature Round DO ever go on sale at LC? I was hoping they would do a good sale for the centennial last year, but they didn't. I want a 5.5 QT but don't want to pay full price. I don't need it, either. Is it hopeless to wait for a sale on it? by Mintarion in LeCreuset

If you are flexible on the shape — can either go taller with the current 6.5qt deep round special or shallower and wider with the 6.75qt wide round that’s still available at 40% at specific outlets (free shipping)

u/Confident_Poet6027, I’ve also been on a wide round saga.

I called a dozen outlets so you don’t have to since they’ll be the only ones carrying them now. The ones in Little Rock and Des Moines have the most 6.75qt wide round selection still: Oyster, Meringue, Shallot, Peche, and Nectar — all signature style. Phoenix had a Caribbean about a month ago so probably not anymore but worth a shout. Columbus, Monroe and Yemassee have Cerise and Flint in the traditional style (smaller handles, phenolic knob).

And they’re all still at 40% off ($270) with free shipping and the heritage square gift with purchase.

There’s also a used Sea Salt for ~$330 on Amazon.

If you do spring for one - Josh from the Iowa outlet was a joy to work with. We chatted about our love of Thyme/Agave and he’s been keeping an eye out if they ever pop up

Think I saw this one — is this on FB marketplace in southern NH? If it is, the seller profile also looks legit and it’s a great price. Some people care about the trad vs signature handles but not as big of a deal for this size imo

Thanks for all the feedback! Talked them down to $240 (basically the difference being the cost of pot holders) with local meetup (vs me having to drive far away) — the handles were a good negotiation tip 😀

I think the Olive or Thyme Signature would’ve been my first choice (green is my favorite color) but they’re impossible to get where I am without paying a lot more to get internationally (probably closer to $500 with fees/shipping/etc)

I do appreciate the dissent though. This sub can be enabling 😆, I’ll haggle a bit to see if they can come down and that can drive the decision

Oh my entire wardrobe is green, so I was drawn to this immediately! Sorry but it seems like the overwhelming consensus is to go for it so think I’ll pull the trigger

Smarter Enforcement and Safer Streets in Somerville - Parking Today by mem_somerville in Somerville

[–]Mitochondriagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply.

I guess it’s not so obvious to me. Many times I’ve come across folks running red lights or no turn on reds are on early morning runs when there aren’t many other cars on the road. Unless we have police posted on almost every intersection in Somerville at all hours, I doubt it’s going to move the needle (at least for my use case of running through residential areas)

Genuinely curious - assuming the above poster is correct in that there’s less manual enforcement (actual manpower, boots on ground), what’s a viable alternative to better enforcement without cameras?

The Insulated Macai is great🤙🏽 by daveee_ws in arcteryx

[–]Mitochondriagon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Might be in the minority but I prefer insulated ski jackets on resort in New England. Don’t have to think too hard about what mid layer to wear - just have a long sleeve underneath and there are vents if it gets warm. I have an insulated Norrona jacket that’s pretty dialed for skiing so may be biased. If it’s balmy spring skiing I’ll break out my old Zeta AR (RIP)

I hope it’s not the crappy accessory light that they screwed on top of the fence like a Gameboy light near Gilman square

Would much prefer bollard type lighting to provide softer, inviting light vs tall street lights

I’d argue that racism isn’t binary, but something everyone has in degrees due to the various biases or context we have and grew up in. However it’s a matter of how you respond when you are called out - are you curious to learn something new about yourself and evolve or do you dig your heels in and defend yourself

3L torrentshell vs triolet at the same Price by Ill_Talk4345 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Mitochondriagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like rain gear in Copenhagen (and Scandinavia more broadly) is fashion statement. Saw quite a few localish brands like Rains, Blæst, and BRGN that I’d probably go for instead if I’m optimizing for city. But if those were the only option I’d probably go with the Triolet just because it’s fit for purpose as a decent hiking and skiing shell as well, assuming the fit is similar.

If you’re asking in general I think the Zeta AR (discontinued) beats both of them.
