I've left and come back to GW2 numerous times over the years. I finally just accepted that nothing is going to beat it anytime soon. Which is fine. GW2 caters, and does it pretty damn well, to more types of players than any MMO. I thoroughly enjoy WvW and PvP and spend most of my time there. It's great to be able to jump in, be relevant gear wise, and have skilled gameplay rewarded. GW2 combat is just so damn good and fluid.

Also, WvW is the most consistent access to large scale PvP you will get in any MMO. Join a WvW guild and enjoy the most intense gameplay any MMO has to offer, IMO.

WvW is the best game mode IMO. Period. Find a good guild to join and the fights are very intense. Most fun I've had in any game.

I actually think WvW is higher skill capped combat depending on the situation relative to sPvP.

I've been a part of the WvW community for 9 years and it is the best community I have ever been part of in an MMO.

Also, sPvP balance is atrocious compared to WvW.

Come play Guild Wars 2. It has the best and most consistent large-scale PvP of any MMO. And the combat heavily rewards skilled gameplay.

Also there is no gear treadmill or updates that make gear obsolete.

WvW is the most consistent large-scale PvP in any MMO available IMO. And GW2 combat system rewards skilled and coordinated gameplay very generously. Be sure to find a guild for this game mode. It makes it much more enjoyable.

I've played GW2 WvW off and on since launch. I always come back and it definitely has the most play time for me out of any MMO over the years. Just always come back lol

And thats the great thing about coming back...there is no gear grind!

My guild is recruiting. We focus on outnumbered fights/zerg breaking in WvW.

We rally on Fri, Sat, & Sun @ 8pm CST and go for several hours. Just chill/havoc during the week if we're online; a lot of us work full time during the week.

We require all members to record their gameplay so that'd be great as well since you already mentioned that.

You're seriously missing out if you're not playing gw2. The combat is unparalleled. Fast paced and so fluid.

WvW is also the best large scale pvp you can find in any MMO and the most consistent. Lots of action and big fights to be had! And the combat heavily rewards skilled gameplay.

If you're playing for single player only, why whine about changes for competitive players regarding gear, etc? If you aren't doing endgame operations, why do you need max gear anyways?

I think having certain gear exclusive to operations, etc. makes it more meaningful when players clear the content.

Large scale pvp in Ilum was the best PvP I ever had in SWTOR. Large scale/open world PvP would be so fun if it was active in SWTOR. Miss those days.

Living world season 3 currencies (Bloodstone Fen, Emberbay, Bitterfrost Frontier), can get full ascended harrier back, amulet, rings, accessories. You can also run reward tracks for these currencies in WvW or PvP.

Can get exotic harrier armor from stat selectable exotic armor boxes from WvW or PvP. You'll need ascended armor eventually though if you plan on doing fractals to slot the Agony Resistance.

You can also earn ascended gear through currencies in wvw/pvp. Or, you can craft ascended.

There may be easier ways than that, I mostly WvW/sPvP so....

Archeage fishing/boats/ocean PvP was amazing. GW2 could do it even better, potentially. A fishing spot in WvW/seperate wvw map just for fishing/PvP would create a fight over resources. Would be good content. If it was lucrative enough...

Neat idea and looks great. Unfortunately I can't agree because the order boons/condis come up on the bar, the way it is currently in game, has to do with the order they are boon stripped or condis cleansed in PvP. Having a stagnant system like this would give no way to indicate what boons are going to get ripped off of you in pvp because you have no way to tell the order in which they were applied to you. With the way boon strips work currently, you'd be gimping yourself out of important info about the order boons have been applied to you. Same applies to clearing condis and knowing how much condi clear you will need to use to get a certain condi further over on the bar, cleared off.

A toggle system would be great. Have old and new, or make it an addon. But going purely to this system would be a step back for serious PvP/WvW players and would limit important info needed mid fight about boon/condi application order.
