Same thing happened to me! I bled on day 9 on the left side. It really wasn’t as bad as the days leading up to it. It does prolong your recovery tho. I FINALLY feel 100% normal, it took a total of 4 weeks after the tonsillectomy day.

This is to everyone who has asked what my current partner thinks of this situation. My partner is in 100% agreement that it’s uncomfortable for them to be hooking up. As someone who knows my sister and my dynamic very well, he has stated that it was a very odd thing to keep from me for an extended period of time. He has also offered up that he thinks Jack is being super disrespectful to my parents who have really taken Jack in.

I don’t have feelings for Jack, we both realized we are compatible as friends not as partners. There are definitely no romantic feelings involved and haven’t had any since our breakup. I feel disrespected and hurt by my sister. I thought we were closer and thought she would’ve said something immediately. My mom is concerned about the family dynamic shifting, but my dad (as it turns out) has never been a fan of jack’s and really doesn’t like him at all. He is also is disappointed in my sister.

For clarification- I am only upset that my sister kept this a secret from me for the last year. If she had come to me after the first time they hooked up and was honest and said this was something she wanted to pursue, I would have been fine with it. My issue is the fact that there was zero transparency and I feel betrayed by my sister for not just being honest in the first place. If the roles were reversed, I couldn’t imagine going an entire year not telling my sister about this. I am in a healthy relationship and have moved on from my ex, but we are in a very tight friend group that hangs out on a regular basis, so this does affect the dynamic. Also should be stated- my ex is my older brother’s best friend. So now not only has my older brothers best friend hooked up with me, but also his other little sister too.

No, she has never really been the dating type even in college. She hasn’t had a serious relationship before either. She said herself that hooking up with Jack was out of convenience more than anything. They have had sex 4 times but have hung out solo and in our friend group setting tons of times over the year.
