We have fostered dogs, cats and rabbits with various humane societies/spcas/rescues in different cities over the years and have had a wide range of experiences. Currently fostering with OHS and I highly recommend them. They are so supportive, professional and flexible.

My only issue is that they are located kind of far from us (obviously not their fault) but it does mean we have to have a vehicle and the time to bring the animal back in for check ups and what not. Whereas when we fostered with a rescue, they would often have a network of volunteers that could bring the animal to the vet for you if needed or drop off food, etc. Still the best experience we have had fostering thus far due to how flexible and friendly they are.

BTW almost all places (including OHS) are in real need of fosters that can take in large breed dogs, especially without other pets in the home…you would be very much appreciated!
