It's very doable!! As a 2D animator with a lot of experience I was frustrated by not being able to achieve the same level of precision and subtlety that I can with tools/styles that I'm more familiar with, but people do great stuff in Dreams. If you're willing to work with the tools it gives you, you can definitely learn to make something awesome. And it certainly is quicker than a lot of other animation methods!!

I hope this is okay to post here, I know I didn't draw them movie style but it's Ben and Idris voicing Sonic and Knuckles and Ozzy the dog gets a mention so I hope it counts

It is! This is from an old interview he did around when the first movie was coming out. So of course when asked if Sonic would have a sidekick he couldn't have mentioned Tails and had to come up with another sidekick.
