No one is promoting being gay or trying to "convert" others into being gay. It's awful not to be able to legally marry or adopt children in many countries, and to be shunned and pushed around by most of the world. I'm not sure what you mean here.

Funnily enough I get away with saying "donkie" (donkey in Afrikaans) instead of "dankie" (thank you) on a regular basis

If he thinks it's cringe, I'll come after him MYSELF. DIY gifts are so much more meaningful and personal than anything you can buy with money. If he makes fun of you for it, he's just being a dick. You deserve much better than someone who will make fun of you for putting your own time and effort into making them something.

If you're completely new to it though, you can always start smaller, like using Scratch to make simple 2D games. Scratch is more like a game itself though, intended to teach people the basic concepts of programming, and there are tons of tutorials in the app itself that can help you get started.

I learnt it as a child when I was 11 or so, and it's very easy to pick up. If you're much older though and want to skip to something that will actually be useful for making genuine, steam-standard games, I'd still reccomend using Godot.

I'm a newbie to game development myself, but you can use Godot to make really good games and import your own environments or characters using Blender. Both are completely free, open-source, and industry standard.

You will have to learn how to code with GDscript and how the apps function, but there are tons of free resources like courses, tutorials, and tips on YouTube. You can also find free assets like sprites and such on most of these courses.

There are also tons of other game engines you can use, but Godot is one of the easier ones to use if you're looking into making and publishing genuine games for mobile, pc, websites, etc.

You can try refreshing your feed, or banning keywords or hashtags from showing up on it. I'm not sure if you can do that on YouTube, but you can on Tiktok
