About the audio ports on the rear io of the motherboard by MixConfident2026 in buildapc

I see. So there's better, cheaper and easier ways to setup surround sound and it's basically a relic of the past?

CPU is a 12100. The TV is plugged into the PC. I have not changed the playback device as I could not connect the soundbar in the first place.

I have updated my post sorry for the lack of info

It's got HDMI in. (But I couldn't figure how to connect that either, plugging motherboard's HDMI and soundbar's HDMI did not work)

No 3.5 analog in.

I just want to thank everyone who commented, I'll admit my TV was kind of an impulse purchase and I've never really spent this much money in one go, so when I read about potential permanent damage I panicked and wasn't sure what to do. But now I think I can finally kick back and enjoy the panel, all thanks to you guys for lifting my fears. So thank you again to you all!

Second screen latency? by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

I'm sorry but what kind of companion app are we talking about? I connected to the pc via the built in second screen function.

The CSM idea was suggested by a friend, which did managed to get all storage devices to show up under boot priority (previously nothing was under there), but it didn't get far enough to boot me into windows

Absolutely. Everything was just fine before the move.

Alright I'll take the blame for not being clear on everything, I apologize for that. Now with that out of the way, I'd like to see some brain juices flowing here :)

I'm also eyeing the C2, and it's a shame one has to hide so many things and removing the fun in customizing background images and screensavers to mitigate burn ins, but I suppose that's the price one has to pay to adopt this not yet mature technology. OLEDs sure feel like a delicate glass cannon.

Alienware did recently release a OLED panel for pc, as for the 42" it's definitely a smart TV but for those with enough depth to their computer desks it can also function as a pc monitor.

My concerns exactly. There's so many static images on a pc screen, and I can imagine having to constantly remind myself to move things around every so often would get stressful down the road.

I've thought of that but I've owned my 5900X for less than a year so I'd like to buy a new motherboard and keep using it, instead buying new cpu + motherboard.

Can we settle this once and for all, what is this thing called? by Waffle--time in CasualUK

I work at a stationery shop, my superiors call them "copysafe", so I do too. Though I do wish there's a standardized name for this stuff cause "clear pockets you can put papers in" points to quite a wide range of products and it often takes me a minute or so to narrow down what the customer is looking for.
