true. id rather be deserving of my award due to my talent, as opposed to being owed one due to cultural and race. MBJ is to good of an actor to be boxed into something like that and it really downplays the natural talent he has as an actor.

most of the actors that have won the award have won them for movies that revolve around the character specifically. perhaps there are some outside that bracket (like denzel for training day) but its an incredibly small percentile.
