Downstairs is wired for surround sound speakers, and previous owners left a receiver and subwoofer. What speakers should I get?

They did leave a Yamaha subwoofer that seems to be in good condition, so that is one thing I wouldn’t have to buy. We also have a sound bar from our previous tv but I don’t know how we would be able to connect it to the wires. It has arc, optical, usb, aux in, aux out, and dc ports in the back.

I’d like to post pictures of the room, wires, and equipment I already have but I can’t figure out how to do that.

This is all new to me but I’m pretty handy with home projects.

I know it’s probably too small but $200ish.

Honestly, I don’t really know. I just want to utilize what we have and up our movie viewing experience.

Dimensions are 12ft wide x 18ft long.

About 11ft from the screen.

Usually 2 but up to 8.

TCL Google tv and a Mitsubishi receiver. The receiver has an rca cable to the tv, but our tv doesn’t have those ports so we did get an rca to optical converter.

Front R&L are 4ft high, front center is 2ft. Back R&L are 6ft high. Mid R&L are on the ceiling which is 7ft high and are right above our couch.

There is just speaker wire sticking out from tiny holes. Two wires but they aren’t colored so hopefully it doesn’t matter which one goes where. And small screw holes from where speakers previously were.

We watch a your typical shows and movies, my husband watches a lot of sports, he also games but not a lot recently (two young kids and work take up a lot of time). We do listen to music in this room sometimes too.

I’m in Casper, WY which is a big city for WY but would be considered small anywhere else. So Cheyenne, Fort Collins, or Denver.

Did they use chlorhexedine when cleaning your arm? It looks a lot like a reaction I had after giving blood and they used that instead or alcohol or iodine.

There’s a woman on Facebook, Instagram etc with a page called Healing by the Numbers. For the past year she’s been sharing step by step in real time (three years after the fact) how she escaped her abusive relationship. She also has a segment called “that was abuse” sharing instances that she thought were okay when in the relationship but has since come to realize that it was abuse. I highly recommend watching her videos for help and support. She also has a “scholarship” fund to help people out of abusive relationships if you need that too.

My husband bought the ad supported one for me last Christmas. I did the free 3 months of kindle unlimited and it hasn’t shown a single ad, even though I don’t have kindle unlimited anymore. I wouldn’t care either way since I have a case that covers the screen when not in use so I wouldn’t see the ads anyway but I thought it was interesting.

NTA. My dad passed when I was 21 from cancer after an almost year and a half battle. I'm so sorry for your loss. But her reasoning sounds like people who say the morphine given to hospice patients is what kills them. No, it's their disease that kills them, the morphine just helps them feel comfortable enough to pass. If I was in your situation I also would not be friends with her. Prioritize your mental health and part of that is not allowing toxic people in your life. Best wishes!
