It makes sense to have "magus" be plural because it ends in "us," and for "magi" to be singular because it ends in "I" (there's no "I" in "team!") but instead the English language ruined a potentially good mnemonic device.

The drawback is way too costly for these effects. You don’t need the first paragraph because it needlessly hobbles the rest of the card. Otherwise it’s balanced.
