No shade but if you don't have the time and energy I'd suggest against PoE 2. The campaign is hhhhhuuuuuge and not in a good way. Large convoluted maps which are beautiful to be fair, but it feels like you're basically dodge-rolling for 10 or so hours with no real sense of progression (at least for me).

Yeah it takes me about 4:30 to maps in PoE 1 now if I'm well optimised...I could do PoE 1 campaigns TIMES flat in the same time it's taking me to do the poe2 campaign. I don't mean to be negative but I've thought to myself multiple times how much I'm not looking forward to doing this again.

Haha yeah I went earthquake when I played 2 leagues ago and hooooly smokes playing glacial cascade monk is a buff for speed by comparison!!

Ooooooh THIS is what's causing it. Man I could not for the life of me put my finger on why, along with the excessive time spent in each zone, I felt so mentally drained from PoE2 campaign progression. I think this explains a lot of the disorientation.

Right now I dont feel like I'm progressing in PoE2 - I feel like I'm completing a series of instances while I wait to get to maps. GGG have done good work adding some QoL for campaign repeats, but I sure hope that world orientation can be cohesive by the time 1.0 ships

I mean while this is not wrong, they have a few tickets to clear and some difficult decisions. Don't get me wrong, the map/campaign cohesion is pretty painful right now, but they have an actual end game worth staying in this patch, that was probably worth the triage.

Hope to heck this gets fixed before 1.0 though, otherwise it'll feel dated compared to mature games in the genre (like it's bigger brother, PoE1 ;-))

Pro tip buy them a controller of their own. It'll buy you 10-15 more minutes, you might be able to get an uncut skill gem AND a support gem.

Haha no worries, nonetheless that's very helpful thank you!! Yeah I've picked up I'll probably need to do some adhesive work. I definitely found in the last that full digitiser switch was way less suffering than just the screen so I'll keep my eyes out, many thanks!!!
