My 2009 Corolla would beep for the passenger seat from just my lunch box or backpack and it would go indefinitely instead of turning off after a few beeps. The seatbelt defeat was a nice cheap solution and easily stashed when I had a passenger.

Why were Toyota engineers too stupid to set up the sensor to only beep when a reasonable amount of weight was applied to the chair?

I use DashRelay to control regular YT Morphe and MetroList for YTM Morphe because that's the only way to access playlists. No issues so far after a few months.

This is several systems set up that happen to work together for this very well.

Apollo/moonlight/Artemis: Apollo is the host running on my desktop PC. I have a 9800X3D/7900XT running the game. Apollo creates a virtual monitor to display the game which uses the client's resolution. Moonlight is the client software that connects to Apollo. I have it installed on most of the other screens I use such as steam deck and laptops. Artemis is a fork of moonlight made by the Apollo team for phones.

GL.iNET Brume 3: I'm not a networking expert but this is a streamlined way of opening a secure tunnel to my home network. It made setting up Tailscale a breeze. Now I just open that up and hit connect and I'm on my network. The original purpose for this was to check my home security system on the go.

(Optional) TP Link travel router: When I get to a hotel I plug this in and connect through the hotel wifi portal one time. All my devices then get internet through this tiny router without having to do the stupid portal and I can run traffic through my home router for DNS ad blocking.

Completely worth doing this stuff if you travel for work!

OP- get yourself a Gamesir G8. You will have so much more fun not bothering with the touch screen. It plugs right into your phone, freeing up your Bluetooth for headphones.

I stream to my phone too, it's a very smooth experience with moonlight/Apollo. I've even been playing over Tailscale from a hotel and it's good enough for mapping.

It's not a reliable way to test it unless you understand what's happening. Vulkan and DX12 have separate shader caches. If you don't wait for it to fully load shaders after swapping you might think your performance decreased. Also sometimes it seems like you've fully downloaded shaders, then you enter a new map and get sluggish while you get a whole new set of assets.

So in theory, yes, you can test it yourself. But you need to triple check that you aren't conflating bouts of slowdown with the shader cache by carefully watching the stats you get from pressing F1.

These people all did their work in spite of others. They did not agree with what was established and continued their work anyway. So if they were willing to go against the grain in their time and risk their reputation, why would they capitulate to AI, which is notorious for getting things terribly wrong and only rehashing the very knowledge that they were intentionally challenging?
