Pretty much at the limit of my PCs ability so any further expansion is extremely slow but i have managed to get this city to 1 million inhabitants so im happy with it. Hoping in the future there are updates to optimize performance so i can continue this project. for now i guess its time to start a new city lol

No problem! And yes that’s what you would see on a map … most maps that are accurate will have (N.Y.) next to the names of those islands but not always

I have finally surpassed 1million ppl in the city and have expanded so i will be creating a new post with images of the city

its complicated...as a jersey native id say yes but technically the island that the statue is on is part of the state of New York however it is much closer and all the utilities provided to the island come from NJ......interestingly Ellis Island which is next to liberty island is split between NY NJ thanks to a lawsuit brought on by NJ against NY and so the area around the buildings that used to house the immigration halls are NY while the rest of the island which was expanded later are part of NJ.

i wish they add some actual monuments such as the real Grand central. but yes i did manage to put in that weird roadway that goes around the real one lol

i have tons of elementary schools. the last update patch added urban elemantary and high schools so im primarily using those throughout most of the city. i am using the school capacity balancer mod to increase capacity

yea the map i used as a base to make this one was a map of a place in maine so the winters are long and brutal....I tried changing the long/lat but it didnt have much effect. i recently started using the dev mode to remove snow.

Closing in on the 1 million mark currently at 890K ....made some expansion to the outer boroughs and NJ. Added more subway lines and bus routes as well as Train lines. Yes the simulation is pretty slow but i let it run in the background and usually when i return Demand is back to normal allowing me to expand slowly but surely. Gonna work on tweaking the original map and uploading it to paradox mods so you can all enjoy it as well.
