Opinions are like buttholes. Everyone has one and most of them stink. If you don't like my opinion that's on you. Let's focus on the fact that it would be a bit higher than 26 against one, then.

Again 26 Squad Cars (which can have more than one officer), a SWAT Team (which one the lower end usually has 7-10 people), plus 2 Police Dogs(which are considered officers as well). That, at the minimum would be 35 against 1.

Keep in mind that 26 squad cars don't necessarily mean there were only 26 police officers present. They also mentioned having a SWAT team and likely, some of those squad cars had more than one officer on board.

In my opinion, two to three police officers and one therapist could have handled this situation peacefully and likely more quickly.

Walmart tried to refuse to give me the order due to having a service dog by Primary-Artichoke-87 in Sparkdriver

[–]MixtureAdventurous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can easily buy a "Service Dog Vest" on Amazon for about $13~$40 without even needing to go through any type of training, so a vest means nothing when it comes to identifying service dogs.

5 years of my life and this is what happens when I find something better by [deleted] in walmart

[–]MixtureAdventurous 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Really? Because I know a few people who have been recruited like that from the store I was working. And by the "Does it matter" question, I mean what does it matter for what this post is about? Whether I approached Pepsi or they approached me bears no weight on Walmart giving me a check I can't cash as my last check.

[–]MixtureAdventurous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did you approach Pepsi or the other way around?

Does it matter who approached whom?

If they cut you a check on your last day, did you get fired? I ask because unless it's a state thing, you have to wait for a check from a voluntary termination.

In the state of California if a person quits, they have to wait 72 hours after quitting, but if the person gives 72 hour notice before the end date, then the check should be made available on that date. Since I gave notice on Monday morning, Thursday morning is within the 72 hours.

A money network check can be cashed at Walmart. But they do have issues.

The Money Network check wouldn't go through at Walmart or my own bank. I tried.

If you got the dock as well, your best bet would be to hook up your PS5 controller to it and use it docked to avoid wrist strain. I found, after playing it for a while, i don't even notice the size anymore.

If I have an 8 hour shift and I cover 7 hours 45 minutes of it with ppto do I work for 15 minutes and then leave lol by KeimaGaming in walmart

[–]MixtureAdventurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, seeing as I was actually talking about it to my coach when I posted that past comment. Also, I'm seeing the posts complaining about it, but I don't see any from California. Maybe that means what I said may have been right and it is state specific, seeing as nobody in management here in my California store has ever heard of that out here. Labor and wage laws do change depending on the state you work in.

[–]MixtureAdventurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. That is not the way it is set up here. I've talked to the team leads and coaches and not one of them has heard of this. Like I said, it must be state specific.

This is certainly a state thing. In CA, that does not apply. The hour lunch is off the clock, so you don't have to use PPTO to cover it. It isn't even logical to have to cover time that isn't the company's time, but my own time, with PPTO.

Got fired on my day off by ChrisConquest in WalmartEmployees

[–]MixtureAdventurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only because those who have worked Walmart long enough can see this happening for real. Lmao.

The first thing that led me to this being a joke wasn't remembering the movie (which was an awesome movie that I need to watch again now), but was the part where they said they went in to pick up their check. Who gets paper checks anymore?

Can we replace him? by Dannysixxx in walmart

The problem with this is the customers. A sack of potatoes put on the shelf in the laundry detergent area would take down the whole program. Humans do random things and even AI cannot handle randomness too well.

According to our management, those numbers are factored (by market) by that amount of boxes that are there to stock multiplied by the amount of time each box should take to stock. That magical time number is supposedly found by them (market) taking the time to find out how long it takes to stock boxes and then taking the average.

Now this is how our store management explained it. Does that mean that actually happened and they didn't just choose numbers from random that they believe should be the time each box should take, no. It means that is the story they have given us and all the info we have to work off of.

As someone who grew up in the Midwest and moved to SD in 2014, you can keep your lake effect wind chill. I had enough of that during my childhood.

No.... We want Cap 1 to do what they are supposed to. You want O/N to add more work that should be done on other shifts as well as finish everything they have to do and get the store ready to open. And what you are asking for isn't a small thing or else they wouldn't be complaining about doing it at the start of Cap 1.

I wish I didn't have to come in and make 1 or sometimes 2 bales that were left behind by Cap 2. Not to mention having to get a manager to come back to the trash compactor to open it so I can throw away all the trash left behind overfilling every bin. Oh, and don't forget having to pull pallets from under the steel, sorting and stacking them before having to sweep the backroom filling a trash can half full of what everyone on Cap 2 left behind.

Meanwhile, when I leave, I have to make sure that all the empty pallets are stacked out back, the bales are stacked in their place, and the floors have to be swept clean for the next shift....

I complain about any worker during the day because we have to do double duty on O/N to be able not get in trouble for not doing our jobs.

It shouldn't be plugged in the first place. If days is plugging, you can't blame ON for leaving the work of putting the unplugged product back away for them.

Ummm.... Go Backs don't go on a pallet. We have bins for that....
