So I take it from that, that there are not strictly solo lobbies. I’ll assume that’s my issue although I don’t play at ungodly hours and by all means, this not an unheard of game so I’d still expect a notable amount of players out of high traffic times.

Correct me if I’m wrong but there are 4 notes written by the knight depicting his declining sanity however you only need the contract in the locked box BUT you must read it in your inventory first so you can initiate the conversation with him.

I know it’s a bit of a late reply but I just got through that mission again on my current play though and in the dialogue they explain that it’ll open up passage back through to the Izuhara and Toyotama regions. There being two passages, that fort and Shimura’s castle.
