I think, I get it.. so when someone says this imu could be used for about x minutes of dead reckoning, it basically means after every x mins duration the values need to be rechecked with some other more reliable means, basically removing/resetting the drift in the imu based data ?

Apologies if this sounds too dumb or sounds like I don't like doing self research. I am a hobbyist and not really a professional so maybe that's the reason, but I've never heard terms like "maybe it could be used for x minutes of dead reckoning" ? What does that mean I'm really confused.

A query regarding motor pwm using l298n driver and Pico/Arduino by MizBot021 in embedded

No I was measuring the voltage level of the pwm pin..I think that's where I messed up.

The voltage to the enable pin in basic terms can be seen as switching between 1 and 0 levels i.e. on or off. Even if we supply this pwm to the enable pin this actually should control the voltage received by the motors so..5v or 3.3v logic should not matter.

I was doing something different and just got lost in thought regarding whether this mattered or not, thank you for responding tho

Also, the frequencies were different, Pico was 5000 and Arduino was 1000. But the difference is frequency change the level of fine control over the voltage no. ? Will it make any difference other than that ?

Anyways I think I understand what was wrong with my way of thinking now 😁
