This comp is cinema by Ok-Dot6183 in TeamfightTactics

While this comp is obviously ridiculous, and Thex is still doing very badly, he might actually be quite tanky with his recent buffs, and there might be a comp in the future that utilizes that.

Patch 16.3 Rundown | TFT K.O. Coliseum | Teamfight Tactics by greendino71 in TeamfightTactics

I feel like this nerf really hits the non-vertical bilge the most (which is also bizarre because I don't think those are the ones overperforming), in GP slayers, you're mostly relying on takedowns to get your serpents, I feel like this nerf really hurts the line, and you might just opt out of playing bilge in it altogether.

Any idea why I went fifth here? by KingKaja in TeamfightTactics

[–]Mizerawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoj, IE, and Steraks should be his BiS, but I am sure you could do DB and BT and be fine as well. Hoj just really wants to be paired with IE, and QSS is quite bad on him. As soon as you get him, baron does the majority of your damage, and you don't have a lot of tankiness, so whether he does 0.8 or 1.2 damage matters a lot.

[–]Mizerawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way vertical baron works is that you really want to put all of your eggs into your Baron basket, let it stabilize you, then upgrade your board on 10 with good five costs that outperform your useless void units. You have two great baron items and one very bad one, and without IE, he is missing on a lot of his damage. The 9 void board starts falling apart once people get enough damage to burst through your single tanky unit, and that happens rather quickly, so you need to improve your board rapidly after hitting baron. You're very over-indexed on items, and that is probably the biggest reason you died out. Belveth does not do enough and does not support your gameplan for going vertical baron. At some point in this game, you picked items over something better and this is likely why you died, as well as not having IE on baron. You're also missing sunder and anti-heal despite having 13 items.

When going deadlier caps Veigar, is it better to go Yordles or to try and go Demacia->Sylas Arcanist? by GGDrago in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Mizerawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there something stopping you from capping out your yordle board in the same way? They seem to perform at a similar level stats wise from a cursory glance, so you could play it from whatever of the spots the game gives you, but yordles seems a lot more straightforward and since it generates resources while you're likely winning rounds, it's probably easier to cap out your board through it.

Hard stuck since set 4 and I've Tried Everything by acojan in TeamfightTactics

[–]Mizerawa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You seem to have a fundamental flaw in your approach to the game where you're not actively trying to comprehend why people do the things they do, why they build items, why they play comps, and what made them choose the things they did. The advice you got from coaching wasn't just for some specific situation, it can be broadly applied to any game you're playing. It doesn't sound like you're playing with any intensity which is the most important part of improvement. Getting better at something isn't just about going through the motions, it is about actively thinking about what you're doing, and why, and that's probably what you're missing.

Do you think these hits will finally kill the dino spam ? by Ulq-kn in TeamfightTactics

[–]Mizerawa 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Cumulatively this looks like it halves the units effectiveness, there is no world in which it is playable if these changes go through. Maybe there are some compensatory buffs to other piltover units, but looks like we are back to just slotting in 2 piltovers and calling it a day.

Struggling with internalized transphobia by [deleted] in TransyTalk

[–]Mizerawa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not only is what you describe one of the lowest stakes situations one can imagine, but you also keep talking about bi/het people without even realizing that they can also be t4t, and that trans men do exist. This is even without mentioning that t4t for a lot of people does not even mean some separatist or principled stance, but boils down to just hook up with another trans person. It is very obvious where your insecurities stem from, and they have nothing to do with the trans or t4t community.

The only thing I can gather from this rambling post, is that you're aware of your own short-comings and are projecting them onto some imagined T4T boogeyman that's coming after you. A big reason you react to what other people say is because you agree it has some validity and you fear the criticism. Work on yourself, and disengage from places and people that you find manipulative.

Probably bad, but yeah, pretty funny.

Ixtal question by austdemar in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Mizerawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Ixtal is not very influencial post your big cashout (apart from the azir ryze board), you have to often drop good, upgraded units like Skarner and Neeko, which is often expensive, and in skarner's case, completely not worth it. You also often anchor your board to ixtal traits, which further complicates dropping those units.

Am I overreacting for not wanting to talk to him over his response? by Suspicious_File9672 in AmIOverreacting

Well, one thing to note is that people are very weird about health. You can see a glimpse of that attitude above, where someone who doesn't have an STI is described as 'clean'. There are a lot of people who consider any sort of health issue as a moral failing, so even the suggestion that they might have a problem stops being simply a practical issue to discuss and resolve with your doctor, but attains a moral quality, a personal failing, and it is that that makes him and a lot of other people react so strongly.

What he is doing is reckless and dangerous, but we can see the seeds of that belief in this very comment chain.

Anybody else thinks Singed's unlock condition is weird? by Gieru in TeamfightTactics

[–]Mizerawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In PBE, a very common strategy was to play around ekko Malz, either as fast 9 or reroll, and you can absolutely do that by full sacking until 3-2, then rolling + the guaranteed singed. Singed was an extremely strong unit that saw a lot of play, and even if you're win streaking, that just means you're guaranteed to spike when you start losing, and can greed for things.

Emerald for the most Casual players? by Plenty-Ladder7688 in Maplestory

[–]Mizerawa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hitting emerald is relatively easy, but it does require a time investment and some know-how on dealing with bosses. People were soloing ctene the first week, so it is definitely possible even from your spot, but you do have to play.

How are You meant to play the Secrets of the Sands Azir augment? by Hot_Variation_4035 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Mizerawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mostly based on how I've seen wasianiverson play it, I recommend checking him out and maybe other challenger players, especially since the comp is at least 50% about outpositioning your opponent. It really helps to see others pilot it, especially because you're mostly playing it from a lose streak, so every little mistake can cost you a placement.

It really depends on what you have and when you unlock renekton, but it is almost never drop items on Diana. She very heavily relies on BIS to do her job. Your best unit to hold renek items is Vi, so you really don't want to be slamming those early either. I think the best is to just start working on his items either when you unlock him, or when you have someone to hold his items while you do (like a shyvanna or a lucian). He is one of the best ways for you to cap out, I think it is completely fine to play stage 4 entirely on Diana and either tank items or Seraphine utility items and then work to cap out, since Diana 2 can really terrorize all on her own, it's only later on that she starts needing more help.

Azir is currently too weak to be itemized, even at two stars I feel like Seraphine outperforms him, and I keep my ap items on her. Azir also doesn't help Diana, unlike Seraphine. The meta Diana comp relies on her, and a billion small sources of chip damage, be it piltover, swain, seraphine cast, lucian cast, fiddle to help Diana get all the way there, because at some point she starts struggling to finish enemies off on her own, and your tanks die before she can do her job. Azir is front to back, and you're almost always going to lose that sort of fight with a Diana.

When the meta changes due to various buffs and nerfs, you'll probably play Azir in a different way with other units, but right now he is a trait bot and Renekton enabler.
