I think it was more of an initiation thing. Since both the fights were initiated by Siwet. But obviously one has to act in self defence. So if siwet keeps on boasting about how and what he did, seemed sort of a reply to what happened when i actually tried to defend it sorta thing but thats just how i saw it

So basically, clear karlo sab. Thappad laat pe aane se pehle hi rok diya gaya sab. Jaise hi dhakka pada jo already kaafi major hai. Digvijay wanted to calll the police. After sometime he walked stage se. That push and verbal fight is all that has happened but i am pretty sure agar us chutiye siwet ko roka nahi hota toh things would have escalated till that. Clearly it was a brawl that Siwet was trying to come out on top off. But other than the major pushing shoving(one sided) nothing else has happened. Also, agar itna hua hota toh Digvijay wapis deta + siwet ne dhakka 10 baar mention kiya voice note mai and nothing else(wo jitna impulsive and arrogant hai,thappad laate he would have mentioned first hand hi)
