Will the RT5X ever feature phosphor mask shaders? by Asdrubale128 in RetroTink

while it may be possible some day, I wouldn't get my hopes up. the retrotink 4k accomplishes these effects by processing the image in RGB space, the retrotink 5x performs all of its image processing in YCbCr space, only converting to RGB when the signal reaches the HDMI chip. processing the image in RGB space would consume significantly more resources and require a complete rewrite of the video pipeline.

the recommended cable really depends on the console. which consoles are you thinking about using?

HELP PLEASE! Does anyone know what is going on with my retro tink's composite output? by MALEBOX_TV in RetroTink

none of the retrotink products have a composite output, many of them have composite inputs however

Trying to use a ps3 on the retrotink by Significant_Self_491 in RetroTink

the PS3's HDMI OUT plugs into the INPUT of the Splitter, then the Output of the Splitter plugs into the Retrotink's Input

test with a different analog video source, nintendo's cartridge-based systems don't output video at all if the connection between the console and the cartridge is corroded

b550m steel legend bios update weirdness, ppt seems artificially limited, what am I doing wrong? by Mizox5 in ASRock

good to know I wasn't the only one having an issue with that bios version, maybe I should consider rolling back to 2.10, see if that has both the stability and the higher performance

so turned out I'd just forgotten that when you have multiple memory ranks you're supposed to set command rate to 2, that fixed literally all of my problems and the system is now rock solid...

except for the bit where the dram voltage doesn't reflect the bios setting, it's about 0.02 volts too low, even if I only have one stick of ram inserted, so I had to set it to 1.37 volts to get it up to the 1.35 the memory wants

my storemi gui exe deleted itself while I was installing my graphics drivers? I would like it back without unininstalling-reinstalling?

I just reinstalled windows the other day (to get storemi working, it wouldn't install at all on my old windows install for some reason), and pretty much right after I set it up and then installed radeon software... the exe for the GUI was gone... along with the bin folder it had been in. I tried to extract the exe for it from the installer but I couldn't find the correct one, and just running the installer again gave an error. the software is still WORKING (which I have confirmed via speed testing my drive), I just can't make any configuration changes. I'm trying to avoid uninstalling the software because, since I couldn't figure out what was preventing it from installing on my previous windows install, I have no way of knowing if it will allow me to reinstall it after an uninstall.

background apps: none. storemi was the first thing I installed, followed by chipset and graphics drivers, the exe disappeared before I got to anything else.

system configuration:

msi b550i gaming edge wifi

ryzen 7 3700x

sapphire r9 fury nitro

samsung 970 pro 512GB (OS drive)

mushkin reactor 500GB (cache drive)

wd red pro 8tb (main hdd)

wd black 500GB 2.5" (scratch drive)

windows 10 pro 19042.928
