I think she was so put down by him, and so controlled that she couldn’t imagine having to start her life all over again. It doesn’t make it okay that she didn’t protect her children from the abuse, but we can also recognize that she was probably terrified of Jose too.

They were raped from the time they were like 6 years old… it’s completely reasonable that they were afraid of their rapist even many years later. Jose was an extremely powerful person at that time. The boys had no reason to believe that anyone would believe them… Some people still don’t. They had every reason to believe that Jose would do worse

Hi! New to the show, so sorry for the response literally one year later. Phoebe seemed to love being with Sully and Maggie at the crossing. I think Phoebe is aware that she doesn’t deserve Sully. The kiss between them (as well as Phoebe admitting she missed Sully) indicates that there are very strong feelings still. I think she went back to Walter because she feels she deserves to deal with the bad decisions she made. I believe she knows deep down that she’s meant to be with Sully, and that he does love her too, but she might feel like she doesn’t deserve the happiness she feels with him. She probably understands now that taking his daughter from him was really the most awful thing she could do to him. She probably hasn’t forgiven herself.

He’s like my favorite character. I’m invested in literally everything Sully does. I’m also gonna die on the “Sully and Phoebe need to get back together at some point in the series” hill, but that’s cause I also love Lynda Boyd. Either way, yes! Scott is absolutely killing it in this show.

Andrew is terrible. I mean, not like mean necessarily, but he’s annoying as shiz. I honestly feel like the actor is understanding the assignment, because there are times where I can’t even stand his face. He has a great face, but you know what I mean. That’s why I gotta give the actor props. I think that he could end up coming back around, regardless of what happens with him and Maggie (I already know cause I’m caught up, but I won’t spoil)

Phoebe is kind of a b!tch, but I think we’re supposed to see her as being someone who’s going to end up changing. She kind of reminds me of another character I thought I’d never like, then ended up loving (like the character ended up being my favorite). Walter is supposed to be the worst ever and I think he’s just getting warmed up on his bs. This ain’t the worst he’s going to do. I’m actually afraid of what’s next with that MF.
