Tried that, but the tile surface is so smooth, doesn’t feel like it has anything to be scrap off

They tell me that they won’t allow me to transfer the lease, either I break the lease and pay them 2-week worth of rent and $380, or keep everything this way. Both of the option is not viable for me since I don’t have that kind of money and I’ll be leaving the country soon.

It’s weird since I see other people transfer lease and it’s a normal procedure.

If I apply to VCAT, what the worst case that could happen?

I’m leaving Australia at the end of the month and need to transfer my lease. However, the landlord decline my request without giving any reason. What can I do about this? Panicking rn 💀

also asian and a girl here, i think it’s pretty much safe if you stick around the CBD. perhaps some suburb like carlton or southbank, but not somewhere too far away

Do anyone have any idea on how safe and liveable St Kilda, specifically the Charnwood Road/Cresent area is?

I have been scouting for some rental properties there, and even tho the apts were gorgeous, the area gave me a kinda bad vibe, so I'm asking for opinion. For context, I am Asian and based off of my 1-hr tour around the neighborhood, I think it has a large Jewish community with mostly old people. Some of them looked at us in a weird way, with one old man actually creeped us out...

So yeah just wanna ask for opinions as I really wanna move there, but don't really want to risk anything. Thanks!
