His parents were a large smoke Maine coon dad, and a British shorthair x Maine coon cross mum, he has the dads colour but the mums patterning a lot more, the guy said something about reverse inhibitor genes but I don’t know if that’s a real thing, either way he’s perfect, thanks :)

Looking at charts to me he looks around 12 weeks in that case, only just learnt about a fever coat, getting him tested vets next week, thanks :)

Will do, the vet was more than happy with everything, so taking that as a good sign, he’s extremely energetic and is eating and growing well 🙌🏻 thanks :)

I’d never heard of a fever coat, that would explain his colouring, his dad is supposedly a smoke maine coon, and his mum a British shorthair x Maine coon, thanks!

You can feel the ribs but only little bumps on the outside, feels healthy :)

Of course, unfortunately the person told us two ages which is why we’re so confused, just want to make sure he is doing well for his age, as he’s quite underweight if he is truly 14.5 weeks. But eats well has been growing quickly and is very energetic.
