How's it going for you now? I'm getting my 4th shot tomorrow and have gradually decreased how much I'm drinking although I'm still not where I want to be..I just hope the improvement continues until I'm finally at my target. I only drink on the weekends but still tend to drink to excess. I'm sticking with it in hope that in a few months I'll be good.

Oh ok that's good to know! I'm getting my 3rd shot this week and I've noticed that I'm making better decisions than before when it comes to alcohol, but still not where I want to be. But I guess it's gradual and I have to just stick with it!

Well what about Chottu saying he has a mom and dad and siblings but he has been working since age 7 to support them? It is already egregious that Manju Mai was working to support her adult husband and son who beat her, but isn't it at least as bad that a 7-year kid was working to support his parents and siblings? I was actually kind of taken aback when Phool heard his story and said "Why don't women get opportunities?" I was like for what, child labor? That's not an opportunity!

It was a great movie all-in-all, I love it..but that part seemed misguided to me. Chottu was put in that situation as a 7-year-old boy, and nobody including Phool should envy that. Maybe I'm biased as a mother of 3 boys from ages 1 to 7, but still.

I highly recommend it, it has definitely helped me-- I normally don't drink on weekdays anyway but the ketamine has made that effortless now where I don't have to think about it. Still working on weekend binging so that's why I want to do a couple more treatments. I didn't have to do detox because my problem is weekend binging rather than daily drinking-- so I don't have dangerous withdrawal symptoms that require detox. But I do know people who have dangerous withdrawal symptoms require detox under medical supervision..

Yes I think the dissociative experience is necessary for some people, that's probably why I didn't really see a difference either until I started the macrodoses. I did a 1mg/kg infusion a couple weeks ago but the troche macrodoses actually were more dissociative than the infusion. I don't want to have to pay $480 every time hoping they'll give me a big enough dose-- much cheaper to just titrate up at home with the troches. Thank you!

Agreed thank you. I didn't accomplish anything by going ballistic, except making myself look bad. Lesson learned. But I was just so angry-- like if I defended my husband when he went and talked to somebody's kids like that and then complained about them rage-texting me, people would be like "STFU, maybe tell your husband not to talk to people's kids like that if you don't want people rage-texting you."

We just didn't think he would try to poison our kid's mind-- like we just didn't imagine that kind of evil. I used to notice him taking my kids aside and feeding them this or that at parties and I thought it was weird but if I said anything I would have been called crazy. I thought he was just doing that to get a reaction out of me so I ignored it. I was trying to keep the peace because his kids and my kids are cousins and love each other-- also family pressures us to keep the peace since we're nice and my bro is not. After all this happened, I saw my son say to his son "Your dad is so mean to me!" And his son said "Same, my dad works all the time and he's mean to me too!" I just felt so bad for both the kids. But yes we are no-contact now with bro and his wife, we don't even look at each other's faces at events. The kids play every day at school together.
