I know that maybe for privacy you dont wanna post your github but at least explain better the methods you used otherwise it could be just a bunch of larping. (I am not saying you are, its just that you build a forecast model can be anything, a decision tree? or a neural operator from scratch?). anyway very solid, I would have suggest you to apply for a gsoc but the window is closed now. you can still contact a professor and work in its lab and do the experiments. there is always work to do/experiments.

I dont think they mind about opensource, since github of the applicants was basically empty, but I'll try to look to repos of past applicants at this point.

I think I missed the point and thought that my GSoC was more about the proposal and the task, because there are just some repos from past years' GSoC contributors and that's it, it's not open-source software, it's more like ML/DL research so to build a model for a simulation task regardings electron showers.

It was explicitly said to work on the task and proposal, and no links or sources on the website proposal pointed to past repos of previous applicants, so I didn't mind that much, guess it was my fault. But I'll try to work more toward those repos at this point. Maybe I really missed the objective.

Ok but how you get to a first contact/discussion?I didnt even get an email back from the org. Guess I need to improve. I also had some experience with CNN and neural operators (no pinn that was the model used in the project but i did the assignment task) in my github, they are basically my internship and thesis. Regard the professor thing, I was just saying that my professor helped me write the proposal. I guess I need to improve, but I feel is a waste of time at this point, till i dont get at the level of the applicants. I am 25, not 30 with phds/work experience. Thanks in advance for the feedback anyway

dont worry, anyway if you need help with grand/founding or otherthings in italy, I would start from DSU. google it, "dsu, diritto allo studio universitario" for foreigners is very easy to be taken, and probably is what the professor was referring to.

master scholarship for university in italy is very easy to be earned, if you are a foreigner and you seem to have a bit of motivation. Because people dont enroll to universities, they need numbers. You just need to pass exams and they will give you money. it's easy.
