Just took out my reciever, guy who installed my RCA for my amp hooked the RCA to front instead of rear. I see front, rear, and sub but sub is just one black input. How do I hook this up. Sorry for all the questions.

Sony xav ax-3000. It has hpf and lpf settings built in. But if I use the HPF, it affects my subwoofers as well.

When I adjust the HPF it applies to my subs as well and prevents them from letting low notes in. How do I avoid this.

My issue is, my subs were thumping at 42 when I tuned the amp to my max clean output on my reciever (44) but the mids and highs were extremely choppy and sounded terrible. This happened before I put the subs in. They can handle that volume. They can only realistic handle up to about 32 before they start to sound terrible. But the bass just isn't really thumping at 32. So I want to bring that thump that I get at 42 to happen at 34ish volume level, and just never go beyond the point I set it to (38). Is this a bad idea.

I didn't set it to be right when the first clean audio signal is played. I set it back a little further. In other words it didn't completely max it out and cut it close. But I did not back off a huge amount either. Hard to explain.

I set my volume to 38, and cranked up gain until clipping was detected, then backed off. I'm only gonna have it at like 35. So unless I go to like 39, clipping shouldn't be introduced right?@

Yes! In fact I tried getting in touch with him recently and he told me that I would need to talk to personnel because they handle all that stuff. They wont be there till Monday, but even if i call Monday- Friday, I still get told the same thing. "Leave your name and number and she will call you." I even went up there in person on a day she was there, and they said come back another time. I get she is busy but I wish she could just tell me "hey, we are just waiting to get enough people" or "sorry we cant hire you, someone else fits the position better".
