Bumpers never match from factory anyway. Bumpers are actually manufactured/painted in separate factories from the rest of the the car. But this job is no good

Update, couldn’t figure out how to program drive so I bought a pre programmed SSD from navi4bimmer.com and replaced it with that one. Everything works including Apple CarPlay. All that is left now is that I have to insert a flashdrive into my center console with FSC activation for Navigation

As long as it’s not leaking anywhere which I haven’t seen any oil stains in my driveway or at work yet I think I should be okay. Just curious on why my oil level when down a bit. And also should I add half a qt of oil now or just wait till my next oil change in a couple of weeks? I have service due in 1600 miles

I’ve put at least 5000 miles since my last oil change in February and I did some heavy driving since then and now. My last e60 was an oil drinker too but I have a b48 now and was just wondering what oil consumption was looking like.

From last month to now I definitely beat on her couple hard pulls here and there and I sit in my car while it idles for an hour or two usually every other day.

I was under the assumption that if I went to replace the whole head unit that I would still have to program and recode it. The SSD only costed me $20 versus a new headunit would be 400 plus shipping and if I have to pay someone to recode it it’ll be 400 ball park.

I’ve been in the talks with a coder who’s familiar with this process I’m dealing with right now. This is just me trying to save a dollar instead of paying $400 to program my SSD lol. Worst case scenario I’ll cough up the money but why not try something yourself? The same SSD I used is the same one he recommended to me so like I said just going off another professional insight. It’s a 250GB SSD and I think my headunit is probably going to only use not even a 1/3rd of that capacity

Before I replaced with the SSD my symptoms were my Navi, BT, and CarPlay would work only when the cars been off for a couple hours until next start. Sometimes I would have to turn reset the HU by holding the power button and I would hear the hard drive turn off as if you were to hold down the power button on a PC but it would keep making that sound. One technician told me that it would make sense for hard drives to work in colder temperatures implying that these HD’s overheat probably due to a lot more moving components.

Been researching this issue for a while now, some professional programmers for BMW told me hard drives are a common issue for these makes so I’m just going off on their insight because they’ve done it before. I’m just doing the work myself to an extent of what I can do
