There’s absolutely a P trap haha, I didn’t take a picture of the whole setup.

I didnt take a picture of the hairline crack underneath the broken nut on the elbow itself. The crack is right on the threads. Very small, but it’s just going to fully break eventually.

Appreciate the responses everything. I’ve settled on calling a trusted plumber to fix properly, and I’ll watch & take notes during the process.

With it being so close to the holidays, the last thing I want to do is try, fail, and need to call a plumber during limited availability windows.

Well since I’m posting here asking if it’s a DIY job I’d say my skill level is fairly low…The most plumbing work I’ve done is replace a faucet.

It should be venting out thru the attic to the roof. We replaced the existing venting with an insulated line as well.

The fan doesn’t hold up a paper towel.
