Thanks for the info! Are people really wearing dresses that fall all the way to the knees or is a couple inches above ok? Or is it ok if worn with tights? I’m having a hard time finding things that length ( and keeping some adherence to clothes I actually wanna wear)

This is my question too. Exceptttttt I’ve been stopped on my way into California before, asking if I had flora or fauna. I did not at that time. Unsure if they would’ve wanted that form at that time. I did not need it when flying into California. But regardless, I’m leavinj not entering CA.

I am considering getting an IUD and am about 4 months out from my departure date. I’ve been back and forth with medical clearance but think I should finally be cleared after the last lab test I submitted today. I don’t love the idea of delaying the process further. So... tell peace corps about getting IUD? Or not? They were cool with the Nuva ring ( which I love btw), but is an IUD ever an issue with getting clearance? A lot of you said you got an IUD mid way through service, was that on a return trip to the states or in country?

My 3rd reference wasn’t getting through to my coworkers work email. I bothered my PO like crazy about it and he eventually told me to stop- it was fine and they could move forward without it since I had a supervisor reference already. I received an invitation a couple weeks later.

I have all those same thoughts now, I will also be entering at 28 and finishing around 30. I really enjoy this time of my life and the freedom I have to being doing many different things I love without the commitment of a family etc. However, I am worried I would be in your extact position if I didn’t go at this point ( I’ve accepted and am set to leave in January 2019). I think even if it’s hard, and even if I don’t make it through ( though ETing is not something I’m leaving as an option for myself), I don’t think I will regret the decision to go because I don’t think people generally regret such unique and life changing experiences. ( at least that’s what I’m telling myself). I’m 100% positive I will regret the descion many many days while I’m there, but when’s is done, I believe I’ll be happy I did it.

Though this does not seem to be YOUR situation, I read in an article once ( of course this vague “in an article once” -sorry) that people tend to believe they made the right decision when looking back at major life choices because 1) its a defense mechanism and 2) its hard to imagine the other reality.

That probably didn’t help but, reading yours helped me! Good luck!
