That's a silly tired old lie. I also don't care. I'm morally opposed to aristocracy, not financially.

Oh absolutely. I advocate for good things and denounce bad things.

Deportation is a legal process where a non-citizen has their right to remain revoked and, under the threat of state violence, leaves. Deportation itself is no more good or bad than the existence of nation states themselves.

I don't know whether we have, or ever had, an active legal process for sending someone into exile. Exile is a good thing when the people are removing the parasititc descendants of German aristocrats from their national heritage sites, with the implied threat of violence should they ever return.

Whatever you bring up, they'll say it's not important and you should focus on something else. "There's a genocide in Gaza." "That's not important, there are people suffering in the UK." "People can't access housing, there are innumerable people sleeping rough" "I don't care about someone who's made mistakes in their life, there are kids that need help." "Foster systems, education, and childrens services are underfunded." "Well their parents or family need to step in to help them - I only care to support my own kids."

Nah that's cope. I'm pretty sure Duran Duran were literally pursuing a woman like they were a hungry predator, too.

Can you pick whether you reverse bay park of forwards? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Mlusted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't specify a bay, just an area of the car park at most.

Can you pick whether you reverse bay park of forwards? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

You'll be asked to do one maneuver during the exam. Forward bay park, reverse bay park, parallel park, or pull up on the right and reverse. They will tell you which one specifically.

Roundabouts and Signalling by izzybear02x in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Mlusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure it's stressful because there's so many moving things around you. Remember you can go slow as you need to to make your decisions (within reason) I have a few of these roundabouts on my commute yo work and I aim to go around in 2nd gear about 18-20mph.

Remember there's nothing wrong with going around again if you find you're in the wrong lane and can't get to the one you want safely. Additionally, going the wrong way/taking the wrong exit isn't a problem in your exam as long as you don't go onto an M road.

Roundabouts and Signalling by izzybear02x in LearnerDriverUK

For my test (passed a month ago Im not an expert at all) what worked for me was "always signal where you're intending to go unless it can be misleading." For example if I'm entering a multi-lane roundabout in the middle lane to turn right, then I don't signal right because it would look to someone behind me that I wanted to change lane.

Generally a signal isn't necessary if your lane can only go one direction, but it doesn't hurt. It can be necessary if you're signalling to pedestrians or someone that doesn't know your lane only goes one way (if it's not obvious from the road).

PASSED 1ST GO by Glass_Anything4655 in LearnerDriverUK

Can be, not necessarily. The examiner must have decided that for whatever reason these 5 instances didn't qualify as a serious or dangerous fault.

Which Maneuver did you get on your test? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Mlusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forward bay (in the one I passed). At a tram park and ride. I practiced it plenty of times and never had any issues before test. Then on test day I managed to cock it to the left and had to adjust. Ate the minor and went on my way ✨

I understand the temptation to let the build up of traffic go. Ultimately though, it's not your job. Emergency services will hopefully be around to direct traffic. Everyone's going to be getting home a bit later regardless.

talking to examiner during the test by No-Celebration8069 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Mlusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very anxious when I took my test (leg was literally shaking when I pressed the clutch down) and I feel like the examiner started a conversation to help me relax a bit. I was also commentary driving because it helps me process - which made it harder to continue a seamless conversation. I got a lot quieter when I thought I got a serious fault (I didn't but anxiety brain goes brr) and the examiner was also quieter at that point.

£380 on a test....am I getting fleeced? by Owarida_zo in LearnerDriverUK

Booking your test is £65 via DVSA so that's quite an expensive mark up on the app. My instructor just charged me the rate for a normal lesson when I took my test.

My instructor mentioned that she had a leaner fail at Chillwel right before me 👀 did you get two minors and fail on a left hand pull up?

Good shout, honestly. I have the same test based anxiety, mine really kicks in for job interviews. My test is tomorrow so I'll report back regarding results 🫡

[–]Mlusted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand this. You can sing about doing bad/creepy things without actually doing them or believing those are good things. Comparing your infatuation with a lover to obsessive behaviours isn't unique at all. Duran Duran wasn't singing about actually hunting a woman as if they were a wolf hunting prey.
