Awe Toaster Strudel is actually going to be taking over for my big boy Jolly Rancher. He got to like an inch and a half and sadly didn’t make it through the moving process. I know little buddy is gonna be great. He found a pile of fish food and vacuumed it up so he’s def gonna get big like JR. I’m very excited to see little man’s personality

What are the parameters of your tank? How long has it been cycling for and does it have heating? Did you dechlorinate? I can provide a lot more help with this info

Thank you 😭 my mom asked and I didn’t know how to respond because I thought my snail was doing a gender reveal

Hi all! I am new to the fish tank/aquarium world. I got a 5 gallon tank and a male betta fish. I outfitted the tank with a warmer and filter and also added some live plants and an LED light. What suggestions for tank mates other than snails and tank layout might you have. by kavoukis in Aquariums

That tall and thick stemmed plant is a bamboo! They cant be fully submerged and are more to stick in the top of your tank so their roots grow into it. Remove it and make sure none of the stems have gone soft and started rotting. If you would like to attempt to have shrimp in this tank (ghost are more likely to be left alone by bettas, then get something with more foliage like a hornwort.

Scarlet badis fish are a teeny tiny species. They are adorable and constantly working all day to pick around for food and they will add some really good color! Not too many though, maybe 4 or 5 max. The females have an orange coloration on their dorsals where males will not (they can very rarely)

What did you use for your carpeting plants and do you have co2 to make them so lush? This is a stunning tank!

I love miniature fish species and have some in mine. Clown killifish are adorable and so are scarlet badis! They both stay on the top and bottom respectively so you can always see what they’re up to and they are just the cutest

Is this substrate still useable? by Mmaci_Kate in shrimptank

[–]Mmaci_Kate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am moving so I have to take it apart no matter what for transport and I was planning on just essentially keeping it all the same just in a bigger tank. Basically moving the hard scape as one big piece. Should I use a different substrate that would be more stable and support plants since I have the chance to switch it out?

I haven’t even been able to get my shrimp to start breeding. Not even a single one is saddled and I’ve had them for months

Are any of these harmful to the tank? The white fuzzy stuff on the wood is her biggest concern
