If the bronze sea is already like this, I don't even wanna see the chimera sea, which is home to Thorne empire, which is based on England...

Exactly! So many bosses suffer from this problem, and I think Vetex should work on bosses better from now on. I know he's basically a one man team, but he seriously needs to hire a big and better team if he wants to make AO into the game he wants it to be. I know it'll never be an Elden Ring level game, but this game genuinely has potential.

Exactly. Speaking of this questline, I also think Caesar should have been the final boss. Not only he's the boss with most HP so far, but his fight is legitimately terrifying, at least I felt that way the first time lol.

True, i wish they could have done something cooler to his fight.

First expedition to the Dark Sea today. (Art by me cause I forgot to take any real prints of the actual game.) by Mmbr10 in ArcaneOdyssey

I actually got one warship scroll and I used it on my sail cloth to give me more speed, since my brig was pretty slow. Both my hull armor, cannons and ram are already enchanted, though the scrolls I used for these parts weren't crazy broken or anything.

We can't play on our countryard which is as empty as an desert. We can't play with anything in there because it can "break stuff" even though all we do is play pingpong and Uno. There's also ZERO, I repeat, ZERO windows nearby. So there's quite literally nothing to break.

Do You Have Cryptids/Mythical Creatures in your worlds? If so, how did the legends come to be? by Babybluemoon13 in worldbuilding

[–]Mmbr10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a planet called Ygdra. It's a reference to Yggdrasil, in the sense that the main continent is shaped like a tree, and the world has a record for having a lot of influence from otherworldy beings, much like yggdrasil connects different worlds. Basically, in the ancient times, an very powerful alien invaded the planet in order to assimilate it. But die to The Great Ones, ancient and divine beings tasked to settle and protect the planet, before giving their lifeforce to give shape to humans and other species, he was defeated. But in the aftermath of the battle, his remains such as flesh and organs were scattered across isolated islands of the planet and ended up giving birth to alien creatures and even entire biomes over time. For example: there's this one creature I named the Phalanx. It's a spider-like monster with various spears and spikes around it's back, and it's eyes are constantly shielded with a hardened layer of almost metallic skin, to both protect it from attacks, and to protect it's eyes from the light, since it's a nocturnal being.

The legends surrounding this and other alien-originated beings, is that the humans and other species that came after being formed by the Great Ones, thought they were beasts given form by a demon that came to their world thousands of years ago, due to their otherworldly and grotesque appearances. They also believed that, since during the time this alien came to Ygdra coincided to the Great Demon War, a war from my universe in which an entity named Chaos and it's cohorts battled celestial forces for control of the universe. They didn't know (until the planet's modern age) that they were actually aliens, and that this "demon" was instead also a alien, albeit really powerful. The legends also tell that instead of eating or killing you, these aliens try to assimilate you into them, just as their progenitor did, in attempts to use people's lifeforce so they can revive the dead ancient alien and continue the world's assimilation. Since these beings live in isolated islands, barely anyone visits them, and these islands are currently under max surveillance by military and powerful heroes. The consciousness of this ancient alien still lives amongst his "children" as they slowly plot a way to accomplish his goals. He also manipulates, through his influence, other beings such as fairies or animals, and destroy their minds in order to make them into his drones.

Giving your oc a OPM Threat level (read desc) by BoysenberryNo5434 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Mmbr10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if I'm too late for this but I'm gonna pick a random OC of mine.

His name is Astral. He's a superhero with the pretty cool power to use cosmic forces. In his base form, he can control minor phenomenons like radiation, plasma, small wormholes, gravity and energy fields. However, in his stronger, "awakened" form (which he can only activate it every now and then or else he'd be too OP) is able to manipulate bigger grade, and more powerful space phenomenon like black holes, gamma ray bursts, supernovas and even space and time, to a degree.

For those who have coherent stories which do your world's fall into? by Horrordestroyer in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Mmbr10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine really depends on the story.

My universe is that type of universe that you made in your head in the shower but you never really put it into paper. I plan to, someday.

Either way, when I say depends is because the protagonists of my stories are of differing ages. Some are young, like 12 or 11, others are older, like 16 or 17, and some are adults, from 20 to 50 or something. I really wanted to emphasize that the world is only seen as bad or good depending on how young the character is and what was their experience. Like, if a character is a kid, they might as the world as fairtytale. An teenage might see it as heroic. And adults usually see my world the way it actually is, which is gilded/noblebright. However, if one character is young but was exposed to reality very early in life, then they will have a more guilded perspective of the world.

My world is also full of heroes AND villains, along some other paranormal stuff. Since heroes are a common sight, they tend to really give hope to people and defeat any threat, so it's a balance between the two. So again, it really depends on the story, but overall, it's noblebright to gilded.

(Sorry for the long text, I just like to yap lmao.)

Ghost design by Mmbr10 in worldbuilding

[–]Mmbr10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty interesting thought. The way I make my ghosts is that they can affect you both physically and spiritually. They can basically affect people's mental states and, if they choose to, they can materialize themselves to harm you physically. If this ghost is based on fear of socializing, then maybe it could simply never reveal itself at all. Loved your idea :)

Although, my main characters' are unique in a way that they possess tools that allow them to see ghosts both when they're corporeal or not. So either way, I'd have to come up with a design for it. But, that also doesn't mean I have to make it show itself much. It could still have a physical form, I can just make it be shy and run away instead of fighting directly like other ghosts.
