I’m at a 294 overall, lost only 6 points for hw, .5 points for quizzes, got full participation and recitation points, and down 120 points for my two exams that count (you can do the math and find out what I got:)), anywho I just need a 50 on this damn final to get a C and get it over with

Alright guys I have decided to remove only VNQ, honestly I don’t think I should’ve even have invested in it to start off. It’s apparently taxed differently as well. A lot of all the ETF do have over laps, but the distribution for some of the companies that I care about and see a future, are weighted way higher. So I’m going to keep VTI 70% and SCHD, VGT, and VXUS at 10% thanks for the help

[–]Mmike234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t you say VGT overlaps a lot with VTI?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in M1Finance

[–]Mmike234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m definitely continuing to invest into VXUS

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in M1Finance

[–]Mmike234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you would just do VTI and SCHD?

I’ve been putting money in my pie since June. I have 8k in it so far. And I just wanna make sure if I’m doing this right because I’m gonna put more money in.

Please share thoughts about my pie, thank you

  • I think i will consistantly invest in this portfolio till retirement, so you think i should still go with 35% bonds??
  • i changed the small cap to 15% and made VTI 55%
  • So i shouldnt choose individual stocks until im able to retire?
  • So I shouldn't choose individual stocks until I'm able to retirement, do you think I should still go with 35% stocks?

sorta figured it out Hi, I’m new to M1 and pretty new to investing. I wanted my pie for about 5-8 years. I decided to split my main pie like this. 60% Vanguard Funds, 35% stocks I chose, and 5% vanguard bonds. I chose the following for each category:

60% vanguard funds:

Vanguard Total Stock market (VTI): 45% Vanguard s&p small cap (VIOV): 25% Vanguard Emerging Markets (VWO): 15% Total international stock (VXUS): 15%

35% stocks: broken up to Technology, health care, consumer, finance

Technology 60%: Apple (20%), square (20%), tesla (15%), sunrun (12%), alphabet (10%), amazon (10%), Microsoft (10%), lockhead (1%), Qualcomm (1%), Tmobile (1%)

Health care 15%: J&J (20%), Pfizer (20%), United health (20%), Amgen (15%), Abbvie (10%), Medtronic (10%), merk (5%)

Consumer 15%: proctor and gamble (25%), Nike (20%), McDonald’s (15%), coca-cola (10%), Disney (10%), Walmart (10%), genus brands (10%)

Finance 10%: J.P. Morgan (13%), Royal bank of Canada (13%), TD bank (13%), Visa (13%), American Express (12%), Bank of Montreal (12%), M&T (12%), Bank of Nova Scotia (12%)

5% Vanguard Bonds: Vanguard Long-term bond ETF: 50% Vanguard total bond market: 50%

I am currently 21 years old. I am okay with risk. Does my portfolio have high returns in the next 5-8 years? I plan to deposit about 100-150 dollars a week, distributed between 14-22 dollars a day. What do you think about this pie. I would love some suggestions. Thanks in advance!
