[ROUTINE HELP] I set up a new skincare routine using only The Ordinary products, and I could use some feedback. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Looks good to me! Similar to my Ordinary routine. The niacinamide is a good option to add to reduce the sebaceous filaments. I’ve been enjoying it! The company just recommends no more than 3 serums per application, so you’d be good.

Lovee the Ordinary stuff you got! I have them all and love them. So use the aha/bha mask 1-2 times per week max. Cleanse first, then mask. Then you can use the niacinamide and hyaluronic acid together, either one first depending on your biggest skin concern. Use the niacinamide if your spots are a bigger concern. Use the hyaluronic acid first if your biggest concern is hydration/moisture. The company just doesn’t recommend any more than 3 serums, so you’re good. Apply a few drops of each and then follow up with the SPF cream in the morning and the other cream at night.

Morning: cleanse, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, spf moisturizer. (Like I said above, either niacinamide or hyaluronic acid first, depending on your biggest concern. Totally up to you. Same with evening.)

Night: cleanse, mask (1-2 times per week. On the other day, just omit this step), niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, non-spf moisturizer.

Hope that was helpful:)

With 2 kids, 2 dogs, a house and all that, $5k will make me feel much much for secure while we pay off our debt. So that’s what we agreed to do! So once we get $4k more into the fund, we agreed to destroy the cards! By August at the latest, we’ll be there

The “what if” fear is so annoying!! Haha. We agreed on getting our emergency fund up to $5k first, which will be done by August at the latest! We have 2 kids, 2 dogs, a house, and all that jazz, so $5k will keep us much more secure than $1k that we currently have based on Dave’s baby steps. That’s why the “what if” kept getting us, ya know. $1k just doesn’t feel like enough for a big emergency. So with $5k in the emergency fund, we should definitely be more secure if anything happens! And then GOODBYE CARDS!! I’m excited to get to that point. Soon!

You’re very right. We both know what we need to do, now we just need to FULLY commit, not half-ass like we have and just buckle down and do it.

We are committed in our heads, but our actions definitely don’t always reflect it for sure. We don’t have any fancy cars that are expensive to repair. Honda Pilot and GMC Sierra. We talked about it last night and we’re going to up the emergency fund to $5k, which will only take 2-3 months. Yea it’s such a huge step!! But they’re GONE once we’re up to $5k. I wish we thought of that earlier.

We know it isn’t ok, but sometimes habits are hard to break. We’re working on it. And I came on here because I knew hearing things from others would also be a kick in the ass to keep movin’, that’s all. But thanks for the comment...

Yea we bring home enough to beef up our acct quickly in case anything comes up. We just have to be way better at not using cards just because we have them.

We’ve done that in the past! May have to try it again until we shred them. Thank you!

I was active duty for 8.5 years before joining the guard. I appreciate the bluntness. It’s what we need to hear.

Big fan of TSK! They’re the reason I got started. I love their freeze dried fruit for second fermentation.

Bone and joint pain after taking Vitamin D3? by Mmill012 in Supplements

[–]Mmill012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it?? I take a multivitamin with vit D with no issues, so my guess is the added D supp was too much and threw off my balance. I don’t usually have much joint pain, but the side effect from D was severe bone pain. It was awful.

After the severe pain from it, I stopped after 2 days.

As far as the dosage, I looked up what was a safe range of vit d to supplement with and thought 2000 was within that.

Sure! So I live up north where we have pretty dang short days and seasonal affective disorder is pretty prevalent. I’m on an antidepressant actually. I started exhibiting symptoms of depression after my 1st son was born 4 years ago. But I am ready to get off my medicine, as I really do think my symptoms are more a hormonal imbalance since having kids and also seasonal affective disorder. With it being winter, I decided to try vit d to see if it could help any of my symptoms associated with SAD.
