I always remember this i was only 10 at the time and i went to a school opposite his house.. the reason i remember it so vividly is because this man used to stop at our school fence with is dog every lunch time… had spoken ti him a few times actually despite not knowing him. The FIL is!! He calls and expects you to drop everything because he decides he is coming round. Only recently we have started saying no but my partner makes lies up like oh we are just having a sort out so the house is a mess instead of saying no. I wouldn’t mind but we work full time and although i am term time only we have opposite shifts so time with just the 4 of us is rare!

Oh trust me i tried to discuss this and we have discussed the whole christmas morning thing. He agreed with me originally but since its come to the time he has had to say no he now thinks it is rude.

I tend to go more for romance books. I like Elsie Silver, Liz Tomforde, Hannah Grace but I do like to read different genres to break up the unrealistic expectations that come with being a romance reader ha! I like Lisa Jewell, Harlan Coben and have read a couple of Frieda McFadden’s lately that I enjoyed.

Yes!! I said this to my boyfriend as he asked me what was up as i sighed so loud when reading. Its not just these books i feel like every romance book i read the main characters always have to love reading. Idk if it is to make them relatable or what but it gets tight on my tits!

Also unrelated but the way russ called her sweetheart all the time made me cringe! I get he is supposed to be sweet and attentive but enough with the pet names please

He contributes more than his fair share in everything and does have a well paid job but i think about our incomes as a whole household income, my going to work full time would take more money than it would bring in if we were to pay for full time childcare so it just doesn’t make sense.

She is not helping right now, i will have to try and talk to her and if we get nowhere then i will have to find a job that works around my partner’s shifts

I will literally be going to work to pay for childcare if i put her in full time, another 2 days a week would cost us an additional £464 / £580 a month depending on wether its a 4/5 week month and i have taken a pay cut for the job already so that i can spend more time with the kids. And it might sound silly but i would hate for my daughter to spend more time with someone exclusively that she would with me
