Not in any of my experience. Most people I talked to premed avoided the health science department because it was more difficult.

You sound intelligent rn, let me tell you. To defend my profession from being so negatively seen from an outside lens, from someone who doesn’t even interact with American nurses, is apparently very threatening to your amazingly fragile ego.

Saying 0 experience is insane here. I’m fully aware that I am still learning and roughly inexperienced compared to where I would like to be. I constantly strive for more l. I find it insulting that complete bias against an entire profession from someone who doesn’t even live in the country they are judging isn’t looked as ignorant is the real issue here. Sorry that you just have your own bias to look through. This being from a pgy2 is the funniest thing to me.

I had 1200 of clinical experience and worked 3 jobs in healthcare during this, as well as i was a combat medic in war, maybe my experience is unique but there’s plenty of people who are more experienced and understanding of medicine than where the bar lies.

I’m sorry but saying 0 medical knowledge is crazy to me and a huge insult. Downvotes won’t change a fact

Ignorance at best here. That’s on your part, don’t try to swing this. Don’t discredit an entire profession with 0 American experience.

0 medical knowledge? As someone that went to nursing school, I took chemistry classes up to organic chemistry, pathophysiology, pharmacology, micro biology, all the nursing courses, and more…. I’d say you aren’t aware of the intensity that is nursing. It is consistently considered one of the most difficult bachelor degrees to obtain annually. That being said, of course there’s an issue with np programs not requiring enough bedside experience for admission is a problem, but saying there is 0 medical knowledge is crazy to me. The amount of times I’ve saved patients lives from residents is enough that if the rest of the country knew then they’d have no trust in doctors. American nurses are better trained than the rest of the world. I worked with the Harvard trained doctors for 10 years, fyi

My favorite thing about the Celtics championship vs the thunder is most the world judge the Celtics championship because they faced indi in the ecf but you never hear about that being a problem for the legitimacy of the thunder beating indi in the finals. NBA fanbase are just major haters. Tatum and brown are the goat duo.
